PIREP needed - Cessna Groups by
tony roberts
I am active in the forums in Cessnaowners.
They used to be quite active - since they redesigned the site they take
a while to load and posting volumes have decreased significantly.
They do let visitors into the forums though - the site is generally well
laid out and it looks like a good...

50 degrees rich of peak by
lardsoup
Ok. Just want to see if I have this correct. When leaning using an EGT
gauge the 172R POH says to lean untill the EGT needle peaks then enrich to
50 degrees F rich of peak EGT.
So the EGT temperature will be 50 degrees less than the peak reading.
Right?

CAP transport pilot requirements by
Robert M. Gary
Are there specific requirements for CAP transport pilots? I can't seem
to find anything on it on my regs CD. Do I just need a form 5 or is
there something else (like the form 91 for mission pilots)? Our
squadron has so few CAP pilots (lots of members, even several pilots,
but few CAP pilots) its...

New G-1000 182 & Cirrus SR-22 GTS by
Dan Luke
Cessna and Cirrus brought one of each to the Angel Flight fly-in at PNS
yesterday, and I got the sales pitch from each rep. No test flights,
alas.
Both are highly desirable airplanes, of course, but I was surprised at
how closely I rated them as a potential buyer:
* Speed: Cirrus wins big: 40+...

Question for the New Yorkers by
RNR
I'm planning a flight from Perkiomen Valley (N10) which will be via
Colt's Neck VOR and up the Hudson to the Tappan Zee Bridge and then on
to Lincoln Park for lunch. The return trip will stay to the west of
Essex Co and Morristown.
My question is in reference to operations around Lincoln Park. ...

Short 12,000 ft runway by
Charles Talleyrand
I fly a Cessna 150. Our airport has one runway; it's 12,300 feet by
150 feet. The overruns are about 1000 feet on each end. We often have
density altitudes of over 1.4 thousand feet.
Should I be worried?

Anyone Got an Extra Oshkosh Dorm? by
Jay Honeck
Friends of ours had a dorm room reserved for the duration of Oshkosh --
and then forgot to mail the deposit balance in that was due by June
15th. Now the folks at UW-Osh won't even put them on the waiting list
for cancellations, as they say that there are already over 700 (!)
people on the...

I had the strangest dream last night by
David Herman
I dreamt that I received a notice from a collection agency that I had some
unpaid bills. I called them and they said that I owed the FAA some money, so
they were initiating the collection process. This came as news to me, so I
marched down to my local FAA office to get things straightened...
