Expensive fender bender by
Bob Chilcoat
Last week I stopped into the shop to see how the annual on our Archer was
progressing. While I was in the hangar, the FBO's Navajo pulled up outside
and shut down. Everyone dropped what they were doing and rushed outside to
see it. Turns out it had just been flown back from Allentown on a...

While I can find certificate totals on the FAA website, where would I look

Wow! Real F/A 18 Hornet for sale on Ebay by
One's Too Many
Claims to be a former Blue Angels ship. Current bid at a little over a
million dollars. They also claim that for 9 million, they'll
re-assemble it, paint it, and render it airworthy. Has an N-number.

Flying IS popular by
Jay Honeck
Don't count G.A. out just yet.
As part of our "Ultimate Valentine's Day" package, we included a 30 minute
sunset airplane ride over the city. Somewhat to my surprise, it proved to
be quite popular. In fact, we had some difficulty scheduling them all
around sunset! And at least half of the...

Sheriff's helicopter violated Daytona TFR by
Malcolm Teas
Seems that a sheriff's helicopter pilot didn't get the word, and
didn't have the right sqwalk or something.
Here's the article: http://www.sptimes.com/2004/02/17/Pasco/County_copter_sets_of.shtml
What I find interesting is the quote from an FAA spokesman:
' "We make every effort to educate...

Simulated Engine Outs by
BoDEAN
In small high wing planes (Ie 172, 152, 150) do you do/teach pulling
throttle all the back to idel? I've been told bring it to 1500 RPM, 1
notch of flaps. Not as hard on the engine

I was just wondering if anyone knew of a website of something that has any

its importance. I'm doing a research assignment and need some resources.
Thanks

Kerry -- WAY WAY OFF THREAD BUT INTERESTING. by
Big John
I spent 3 months in the 'Delta" which inluded providing CAS to the
Navy operations in the Mekong in 1967. Met and worked with Seal teams
and other Navy operations. This sounds like a true account from what I
saw and heard.
I wonder if he really flies his (wifes) bird or just rides and...

Petition for keeping one Concorde flying by
Paul Sengupta
Don't know if you know about this, but the petition to keep Concorde
flying is going to change. The emphasis is now going to be on keeping
one airworthy to be used at airshows, etc.
If you want to sign the petition (anyone that signed the old one will
automatically be carried over to the new one)...
