KY 97A problem by
Continental Bill
Hey guys,

switches frequencys, when I hit the push to talk button the little
"TX" comes on, I can hear the external speaker pop when I hit the push
to talk but it won't transmit or receive and when I pull the "test"
button out...

Rent a Cessna 180 or 185 by
Doug
I am interested in getting a checkout in a Cessna 180 or 185. It does
not have to be solo, with an instructor is fine. If anyone knows of
one, the closer to Colorado the better please email me at
Thank you

Flying Out of Waukesha, WI - Advice Please by
Harry Gordon
Hey you all. I've gotten great input from this group before, thought I would
give you another chance :-).
Next week I will be visiting my kids in Waukesha, WI. I am planning on
renting a Cessna 172 from somewhere in that area in order to take them
flying. I know that the county airport (UES) is...

OT -- Kill Bill by
Jay Honeck
Mary and I went to see this movie last night, based on good initial reviews
and high ticket sales. (Having Uma Thurman in it certainly didn't hurt,
either. :)
Just wanted to let everyone know, before they spend a nickel in the theater,
that both of us consider "Kill Bill" to be the absolute worst...

Pit Stop Suggestions by
G.R. Patterson III
Anyone have suggestions for a nice place to land and eat near Springfield, Mass?
My wife says there's a nice airport with lunch counter at Hadley, but I can't
find it in my tools. We're planning to make a leaf run Thursday.

Cost sharing revisited by
Roger Long
I started a thread about a week ago in which I passed on something I was
told by AOPA two or three times. You can be in violation of your private
pilot privileges if you make a flight solely to accommodate the needs of
your passenger, even if you accept no reimbursement for costs.
A number of...

Model Airplane Across the Atlantic by
Michael 182
This may well be old news to a lot of you, since it occurred in August, but
it was new to me, and a pretty cool accomplishment. On page 34 of this
month's Flying Mag there is a blurb about a model airplane named "Spirit of
Butts Farm" built by Maynard Hill that flew from Cape Spear to Ireland....

Rare aircraft types by
Bob
I came across a photoguide to aircraft in the UK, it's not well advertised
so you may not have seen it. http://www.ukskies.co.uk. It's got hundreds
of aircraft types so it's worth a look.
Does anyone know of any other good sites?

Other airports in the Savannah, GA area by

There's a chance I may be working for Gulfstream this spring, down in
Savannah, and I was wondering if anyone knows about smaller airports in the
area that have aircraft rentals and/or low ramp/landing fees. I looked at
the large airport, but the fuel is expensive, and the $22 landing fee kind
