Winds Aloft Overlay on AOPA Internet Flight Planner by
Hiro
Perhaps may of you have already used the AOPA's Internet Flight
Planner. I'm assuming that the software is powered by Jeppesen's
Internet Flight Planner. I have noticed that you can overlay the
winds aloft on the chart. It looks to me that the winds aloft
information presented on this program is...

On Simulators as assist to IFR training. by
Tman[_2_]
. xoxo.
Anyways, I'm working on my IFR ticket. I'm about 12 hours simulated and
actual instrument time in a real airplane, and able to put in about
another hour in a week. No problem "flying" the plane on the
instruments, but I find that putting everything together often results
in too much...

Simulators by
Birdog
The discussion on simulators was interesting in many aspects. Since being
grounded some 20 years ago (medical), I've tried substitutes - radio control
and computer simulators - and found them sorely lacking, if not downright
boring. However, while playing with the simulator, I could not help but...

Tax Deductable Flights by
Steve Foley[_4_]
I just got this information from Pilots N Paws.
If you like flying with dogs, you can deduct your expenses.
www.pilotsnpaws.org Inc. is a 501c3 corporation and the IRS will allow expenses relating to transports to be treated as a charitable donation.

Beechsundowner,
I agree with a lot you are saying. I agree that putting anyone with
no experience of that type of aircraft into the flightdeck and
expecting them to know what and where each switch is would be very
difficult.
My main defense on this forum was for the Simulator and it's...

SMO MYF by
origgiro
I was thinking of buying a plane to fly regularly between SMO (Santa
Monica) and MYF (Montgomery Airport, near San Diego), for instance a
Diamond DA20-A1, which can go about 104 knots. However, the flight
path includes both Pendleton and LAX (perhaps others), which
presumably could cause delays....
