Airline seats anywhere? by
James Wren
Does anyone know where I might be able to get hold of
a second hand airline passenger seat?. I'm re-branding
Air India as part of my Design Degree, and a seat
would be a nice touch!. Not having much luck scouring
the net, hopefully until now!
Cheers

Aircraft Spruce and Jim Irwin by
Larry Smith
Jim, you and your company were quite courteous on a prop bolt exchange, so I
was gonna order some more mdse. And still hope to, even after this. This
morning I tried to order a Concorde battery for a friend's 172, and the
surly woman in Griffin rejected the card, for curious reasons.
After a...

2 outta 3 :-( by
dutch
I've been trying to finish up an instrument rating in my 69 Arrow. I had
the check ride scheduled for this afternoon so thought a short final
refresher with instructor yesterday would be a good idea.
First approach, lowered the gear for descent, oooops, right main indicator
still dark. Switch...

WAAS and Garmin 430/530 by
DoodyButch
I was all ready to order a (wildly popular) Garmin 530 upgrade but now I have read that these units are not WAAS capable and will need a motherboard upgrade whenever they develop a WAAS capability, since there are fundamental problems with the basic refresh rate - see this months Aviation...

Looking for an old Cessna 172 - call sign: C-GUZE by
Grant Gilron
Hi,
Does anyone out there fly and/or own an old Cessna 172, call sign:
C-GUZE, colour: white with blue stripes? It was owned and flown by my
Father and was based at the Ottawa Flying Club in Ontario, Canada
during the 1980's. I believe it was sold to someone in Quebec in 1986.
I am interested if...

Price of pre-owned Beech 1900C or Beech 1900D by
Alex Koshy
Hi there!
I wish to purchase atleast 2 or 3 Beech 1900C (or 1900D) aircrafts.
What is the current reasonable price for one? I expect to use it
atleast for another 10-15 years.
Does anyone wish to sell theirs? Please send me an email. Please let
me know if you have financing options available.

Ownership and passengers by
Roger Long
The FAA is looking for two things when considering the question of whether a
private pilot was carrying a passenger(s) legitimately. One is evidence
that the passenger is incidentally aboard on a flight that was going to take
place anyway. Second is that the pilot and passenger have a shared...

Aero Trader by
Scott
I've given up on this ad. If you guys can find it, and it's still available,
have at it. I'm sure if you look at aerotrader, you noticed page 19 of the
November issue. There was a c-150 in there in running condition. Only $6k.
Only problem is trying to find the damn phone number. I'm sure it has to...

Replacing Generator with Alternator by
Thomas Ploch
We are in the process of replacing the engine (O-235-C1) on our Piper
PA-12. The new engine comes with an Alternator. The existing
electrical system utilizes a Generator. I understand that we will
have to replace the voltage regulator in order to make use of the
Alternator. As I understand it,...

Ottawa Tie-down by
Jose Vivanco
I'm in the process of moving from Montreal to Ottawa and I'm looking for a
tie-down for my Cherokee 140. I will also need access to a good mechanic. So
far I've only heard about the Ottawa Flying Club. Any words of wisdon on
both subjects would be much appreciated.
Thanks

Lightspeed does it again by
Duane MacInnis
I followed the posts about Lightspeed selling pretty good equipment, and
most importantly, standing behind their products when they have problems. I
was particularly impressed with Jay Honeck's reports (hi Jay) about his
Oshkosh experience. So, as a treat to myself I recently bought a 30/3G...

Any way to lower Piper Dakota seat height? by
Bob Reynolds
I'm 6'4" tall and just became a partner in a 1983 Piper Dakota, with
standard seats that allow a vertical adjustment. However, what I'm
finding is that I need about 1" to 2" more of headroom to be
comfortable even when the seat is fully down. Does anyone make an FAA
approved seat that will buy me...
