HF118 by
Big John
Per AW&ST
G.E. and Honda are putting together a compnay to manufacture and sell
the HF118 turbofan designed by Honda and will jointly certify.
Prototype is 1,670 lb thrust, but can be scaled from 1,350 to 2,500
lb thrust.
Cost will be well 'under' $500,000 a copy.

Metal working... by
Blueskies
Any suggestions for a good text and/or discussions about metal shrinking, dinging, stretching, etc. I would like to
learn to form aluminum into scoops and other shapes. I know it is a practice, practice, practice (almost) art form.
Thanks all!

Ron
I need to replace the oil seal (06A19956 or STD208) in the vacuum pump

seal without a special Lycoming removal tool?
The oil seal is .875" ID x 1.5" OD x .3" thick.

airspace G by
Jim Anglin
Can any of you CFIs tell me where I can find a description of Class G
airspace? Part 71 says F & G are reserved, but other parts reference Class
G (Part 91 for instance under traffic patterns in airports with no operating
control tower in Class G space).

Replacing REM40E with REM37BY? by
Michael Horowitz
I'm told the 37BY is shorter and runs cooler then the 40E. The 40E's
are installed in a certified a/c.
Would an IA object to me changing to the 37BYs (I need the shorter
length), and what effect will I see on performance? - Mike

Sun N Fun Information?? by

Last time I attended Sun N Fun was in 1990 and I flew in
I am thinking of driving down and wonder if it is too late to get lodging??
All I remember from 1990 is, a lot of traffic-cars and planes, and I had a
really good time. Is there a hotel that might be close and have a vacancy at
this time?
Or,...
