A few questions about Flight Sims and equipment by
Dave Pearson
* R David Steele :
What programs are good if you just want to game, that is fly combat
missions what engage an enemy (something that X-Plane does not do)?
I can't speak for X-Plane, never having looked at it. MSFS doesn't allow you
to fly combat missions...

As a novice regarding FS applications, could someone give me some basic

FS2004 Garmin GPS map question by
Charon
I downloaded the video clip from the FS2004 home page and noticed that
about halfway through the clip the VNAV (second button from the right,
bottom)is pressed and the GPS screen goes into a full terrain contour
map. Where does this come from? I don't recall the Garmin 500/530
having this...

And just in time for another new release of MSFS. Presumably this will be a
regular feature from now on? sigh

automatic flaps problem in Beechcraft KAF90 by
deeknow
Hi folks,
I'm trying to figure out why the aircraft I've been flying (Chuck Dome's
Beechcraft King Air F90) in FS2002 keeps automatically adjusting
the flaps mid flight.
One minute I'm happilly cruising at ~160kts with no-flaps, the next the
flaps get incrementally set to full and I'm back down...

FS2002: beginner's question n° 1 by
Angus Lepper
As far as I know, it doesn't show them whatever your resolution, what you
could do is shift your resolution up int the graphics options and then
resize and show the aux panels would be a compromise.

I bought X-Plane and I want to share my experience by
Bruce Shankle
Dear fellow flight sim users,
I recently purchased X-Plane and had such an interesting experience that
I thought I'd share (see http://home.nc.rr.com/bshankle/xplane.html).
I am curious if any of you have had an experience anywhere close to mine?
Sincerely,

Has Anyone had experience with X-Plane? by
John Westerlage
Good grief!
I've just looked at Bruce's website. That has made up my mind. MSFS
it is.
Thanks for sharing that, Bruce. I wish more people would speak up
like this when they've been done wrong.

Is Falcon 5.0 in development? by
Radeon350
would really like to know ^__^
when Falcon 4.0 was in development, 3D acceleration was new. when
Falcon 4.0 came out (late 1998 iirc) 3D cards were in their 3rd or 4th
generation, but it was still pre-T&L days, before the GeForce256
(GF1), so geometry and lighting in hardware was not at the...

Concorde in FS2002: No lateral views by
A. Bomanns
I have copied Concorde from FS 2000 to FS 2002 (following the
instructions giving in the www.simflight.com FAQ). Everything works
fine except the views from the cockpits to either side and to the back
(NumPad7/9/4/6/1/2/3). Is that normal?

gradual gyro failure in FS2004? by

Does anyone know if FS2004 will allow for a more realistically gradual
failure of the attitude indicator and heading indicator? It's way too

Thanks,

You still haven't fixed your original problem which is probably
something trivial in the original .cfg file.
