Cargo plane in movie "Flying Tigers" by
John Fitzpatrick
Forgive me if this has been answered before, but does anyone know the
name of the cargo plane featured in "Flying Tigers" and any info on
it's origin and fate? It seems as though it was Italian and a one-off
unit, but that's something of a WAG.
Thanks,
John

Wright Stuff by
Bob McKellar
Back in the mid 70's, I made a trip to the Air Force Museum.
My entourage included my two young children, and my maternal
grandfather. It is important to point out that my
grandfather was Naval Aviator #711, a number which will
sound spectacularly low to the Naval Aviators who read
these...

Why did the Army pick this one over other VTOL UAV's, such as Eagle Eye?

Mike Marron
Last night I was watching a documentary about the F-15 on the
History Channel (aired at 9pm/ET) and one of the jocks they
intereviewed was a "Randall Haskin." Just curious if it was
the same "Randy Haskin" who posts on this NG as "Randy
Haskin -- Strike Eagle Driver." (???)
(They also interviewed...

ferryman
Do the RAF or MoD publish a list of dates when they are doing
exercises around their bombing range, etc near Ferryside, Carmarthen,
South Wales?

looking in the wrong place.

Fuel dumping! by
Ed Majden
Some of you are jet jocks or ex-jet jocks. What can you tell me about
the practice of dumping fuel from a jet and the igniting this dumped fuel by
cutting in your afterburners? Wouldn't this be a very risky practice? If
not, why would this be done? On another newsgroup, this is being used...

A-4 / A-7 Question by
Tank Fixer
In article ,
says...
It almost sounds like the 30mm Caseless Pods that can be mounted under
Fighters making even an A-4 into a tank killer. That died when the A-7
did. Too bad. The A-7E was a superior AC to the A-10 when armed...
