Looking for Info. on Vietnam Bombing by
Seraphim
Does anyone know where I can find information on number bombing sorties in
Vietnam, broken down atelast by year (or smaller unit of time), and
preferably by target location? I've tried trying to find it, and with the
exception of a little information on the Rolling Thunder campaign, I
haven't had...

A query by
news
Could someone clarify something for me? I flicked into a documentary
last night about SAC and saw what looked like a B-47 with 4 drones
mounted under the wings. I've never seen a B47 with this configuration.
I don't seem to be able to find any specific reference apart from the
YDB-47E, but that...

Final Word on Syrian/Iranian A/C by
David Joston
Would you all stop bickering about the Syrian Flankers and Iranian
Frogfoots!
Picking up a copy of the 2002 edition of Jane's aircraft recognition
guide it clearly states that Iran DOES operate the Su-25 and Syria
DOES NOT operate any Su-27 Flankers.
Since Jane's is the world's authority on...

Ki-100 armament placement by
N-6
About half the sources I have say that the Kawasaki Ki-100 had 2
cannons mounted on the fuselage and 2 heavy MGs mounted in the wings,
while the other half say that the cannon were mounted in the wings and
the MGs in the fuselage. Which is correct? If both are correct, then
why did they switch the...

Why do Americans still believe in the rags-to-riches fairy tale? by
Gordon
I'm about to mash the big, red button on my desk, deploying my Tex Houstonbot,
which will shortly arrive to beat you about the head and shoulders while
simultaneously blaring "OFF TOPIC!" in your face.
BTW, a young soldier on leave from duty south of the Korean DMZ just won 150
"Very" large. Its...

Col Yang is home by
Cub Driver
China's first taikonaut is safely home.
He flashed the "V" signal, with the palm out. What would that signify
to a Chinese audience? Presumably not V-for-Victory, since Churchill
flashed with the knuckles out. "Peace", like in the 1970s (more often
called the 1960s)?
all the best -- Dan...
