A-10 in WWII?? by
Stephen Harding
We've had a couple scenarios of aircraft going back in
time and speculation on what sort of effect they'd have.

Unidentified multi-engined warbird over NYC by
rottenberg
Yesterday, tunring towards the sound of a very loud set of droning
engines, I observed a large multi-engined, propeller driven, unswept
winged aircraft flying overhead. Fid anybody else in the metro-area
catch this?

Charles Gray
The Current Boeing design is a subsonic version, however would
it be possible to design a Canard Rotor/Wing that could also function
(in fixed wing mode) at Mach 1+ speeds?

Greetings Art:
I was a copilot with the 573rd on one of these raids. Captain Jimmie Doolittle

As we approached the target with a belly full of surrender leaflets the flak
from the coast artillery guns started to blacken the sky.
We proceeded over the drop...

JGG confirmed not to be a member of the RAAF. by
Darryl Gibbs
Hi everyone.
As those of you who regularly follow the newsgroups know, Jolly Green Giant
(JGG, or Aerophotos) has claimed to have joined the RAAF as a trainee Life
Support Fitter.
This certainly seemed surprising to me as he had shown himself to be very
politically orientated and certainly very...

Is replacing Maverick with JCM a good idea? by
Scott Ferrin
The Maverick's warhead is between five and 12 times the size of JCM's
and it's range is higher. That and Raytheon is talking about
extending it to nearly 40 miles with LOAL. Seems like they'd want to
keep it around.
