Few years ago, about this time of the year, I posted an account of
our first encounter with freezing rain. I received a number of great
advices from r.a.s & r.a.p participants. Today we encountered
freezing rain the second time and made great use of these advices.

What do you get when you combine a Rolls Royce engine with parts from a TCM

Follow the link to the four YouTube videos for more of the story. Seems to
be an impressive accomplishment for a 14 year old.

I learned about flying from this, too... by
Ricky
In the mid 80s I was in flight training at a part 141 school, Navarro
College, In Corsicana, Texas. I would not recommend this college to
anyone seeking an aviation college, by the way. I'll let you know more
privately if you wish.
I took the nice 172 to Gilmer, Tx. for an overnight visit to part...

Minimum rates of climb/descent for VFR by
Mxsmanic
In the U.S., is there any regulation that prescribes a minimum rate of climb
or descent for changes in altitude during VFR cruise flight? If I decide to
make a gradual climb from 4500 to 6500 feet westbound (gradual meaning 200 fpm
or so), is this allowed, or do I have to meet or exceed some...

Anybody know where to find the track (distance between wheels) on one

sometime ago I criticised pilots on this group about the harsh way
they were treating one mxsmanic. It seemed to me at the time to be a
bunch of egotistical pilots snubbing their nose at someone who was
genuinely interested in finding out about aviation, but didnt have the
wherewithall...

Tampa Florida rentals by

My job is sending me to Florida for four weeks. I'm not looking
forward to being stuck on the ground for a month. Any suggestions on
flight schools/aircraft rentals? I'm starting to work on my IFR, so
getting a few hours under the hood wouldn't be bad, but my primary
purpose would be to just get...

had more than enough money to start and figured I owed it to myself to
book a discovery flight with every intention of seeing it through to

With respect to your certificate, I was wondering what the best course of
action would be if you had imbibed a couple of cocktails and you were
pulled over and suspected of DUI.
For example, a friend of mine blew just above the limit...
