Usage fee process by
Danny Deger
Any ideas on how usage fees would be processed (are processed in Europe)?
Does the system automatically track what each tail number uses every month
and send the owner a bill? I have a plane without a radio, so I guess I can
save on a lot of the fees if they show up. To the air traffic system,...

Daily Miles For Sport Pilots by
mdginzo
Is there a maximum amount of miles one can fly daily as a sport
pilot? Are there any significant records in this area yet? Anyone
tried to go across the US for example?

Almost got My Ticket Yesterday by

First of all I have not posted/asked any questions of RAP and RAS since last
November. With all of the bickering, baiting, and other issues, I decided
not to participate. Please don't misinterpret what I am saying. I am not

Garmin 430W holding help? by
Paul kgyy
I've seen discussion here about setting up a hold at a waypoint and
tried to make it work today but could not.
Reading the manual, it appears that using the OBS button to SUSP will
do it, but that seems only to define a new track to the waypoint and
really confuses the autopilot.
Suppose heading...

First impressions of flight by

What did you notice most during your very first experience travelling in any
type of airplane, as passenger or pilot? And if you are a pilot, what did you
notice most during your very first experience actually flying an airplane (if
it was not also your very first experience with flight)?

Taxi speed by

Hi,
What is the normal and maximum taxi speed (in knots) for an RJ, 737, and 747
in normal operations? I'm just using those as examples, feel free to
mention any others. Also, I'm not looking for maximums or AFM limiations,
just the day-in day-out taxi speeds and the maximum that a crew would...

A tower-induced go-round by
Jay Honeck
Today we experienced a new first, when the tower controller at
Jefferson City, Missouri decided to cut a Cessa 172 in front of me on
a short right base, *after* clearing me to land on Rwy 30.
Incredulous, I slowed as much as possible, and watched as the 172 (who
was several hundred feet above us)...
