Upgrading from C172SP to 182S by Marc CYBW
Hi, My fractional 172SP had an unfortunate "incident" with another pilot and is grounded for the foreseeable future. I am planning to upgrade to a 182S in the fractional fleet. Any comments and/or suggestions to make the transition as smooth as possible? Thanks,

It is costly fuel. Right? by neo
Like cars, mass production of personal plane is possible. Mass training of pilots who can work on pay equal to pay of car-driver is possible. But still i do not see planes in sky. Reason is costly fuel. Am i right?

Medical running out? by [email protected]
Went to get my medical early in the month because I knew it would have to go through FAA channels due to a few small problems. Had all the proper paper work and test reports filled out in advance and the Medical Examiner took them to send everything in together. It's now the end of the month and I...

NASA has recently answered to the prediction of a mega tsunami by [email protected]
NASA has recently answered with a world press release to the prediction of a mega tsunami, created by a possible impact of a fragment of the comet SW-3 on MAY 25, 2006 in the Atlantic Ocean. This prediction, based on a clear and precise psychic communication, was confirmed by many sources. This...

Oregon vacation by JJS
Okay, You guys helped me plan my Canadian fishing trip flight last summer. This time I'm headed to Oregon. Unfortunately, due to fuel prices we've made the decision to take the airlines instead of the Cherokee. We'll fly in to Portland and be spending a week in the Astoria, Seaside area. So far...

Rentals in Rochester/NY area? by Tobias Schnell
Hi, a business trip in fall will take me to Rochester/NY and I will probably have at least two weekends to do some flying. Any recommendations on where to rent a Skyhawk/Archer-class airplane, preferrably IFR-equipped, in the area? My research on Airnav did not bring up too many results, but...

WTB: 135 Ticket by AML
I am in the market for a 135 operation. I am finding out that going through the FAA would take about a year and I don't have the time to wait that long. If anybody has one for sale or knows someone that is thinking about selling it, let me know. Thanks Aaron

SEL precautionary landings: what's your experience? by Tony
I have landed because of mechanical failures maybe once every 300 hours. I had a vacuum pump fail (VMC, I'm happy to say), an alternator (In the clouds but soft IMC), a magnito failure that took out a bank of spark plugs (probably IFR, I don't remember for sure) -- things like that. Nothing really...

82UL Fuel by floater
82UL was developed several years ago, to be easily produced from automotive fuel. Instead of being produce by only one or two manufacturers as 100LL is, 82UL could be made by any oil company. This should make it cheaper to produce. 82UL is NOT a replacement for 100LL. It is my understanding that...

OK, how about some advice on whether this is feasible. I've got a friend in Canada and I'd like to visit him by plane. My aircraft is an antique 50 years old, w/o an electrical system or a transponder. I've got a handheld radio. The aircraft is light sport aircraft legal. I have a private...
