Helicopter Question by
Jay Honeck
As we were flying over to Newton, IA today, we started discussing icing and
snow -- something that we must constantly worry about in these parts for at
least the next 4 months.
As we were talking, we heard a "Flight for Life" 'copter on Unicom, which
got us to wondering how it is that these guys...

Airshow Performer Paperwork? by
Jay Honeck
I'm one of the organizers for our annual airshow/fly-in/pancake
breakfast/big kids toy show here in Iowa City. (If you're interested,
see it at www.BigKidsToyShow.com)
They've never had any "airshow" performers at this thing before (it's
been all static displays in the past) but we're thinking...

Commercial Rating Question by
Will
It is up to the examiner whether or not you can take both checks at the same
time as FAA only requires that you have obtained all of the required
training and meet the regulatory requirements for the certificates and
rating which you want to obtain.
You instructor and examiner should be able to...

Happiness is a warm ipod by

....and an audio panel that you can plug it in to. Flew VNY-LAS on
Thursday with a nano plugged in to the auxiliary audio input in my
Cirrus. Now my flight has a sound track! Clear skies, smooth air, a 45

that's my idea of a...

Pilot/Mech Organizations by
W P Dixon
Hi group,
I was curious if anyone knows of any groups that try to help out
pilots/mechs with divorce , homeless or other areas? Seems you can find tons
of places that help everything from battered women to HIV help..but not
really any aviation groups.
My wife left a week ago Saturday and my world...

Bad AME by

OK - so I was all ready to take my PP-ASEL checkride (in part, thanks

the great posts here), and went to register for IACRA. Couldn't do it.
Called the web folks at FAA. Turns out the number on the
medical/student pilot certificate in my physical posession (the one

taildragger endorsements-WI by
[email protected]
Does anyone know of anyone out there doing taildragger endorsements in
Wisconsin? It seems like Wisconsin Aviation in Watertown isn't doing it
anymore. Not having much luck finding anyone else except out of state
at Poplar Grove in IL.
I'm in Madison.

Cirrus demo by
Dan Luke
My entry was one of those drawn at OSH for a 2-hour checkout in an SR-22, and
we finally coordinated everything and made the flight yesterday. The
following are my impressions of the aircraft:
Getting aboard is easier than in most low-wingers because of the two large
doors. The seats are firm...

Misfit airplane? Rudolph was on last night by
Montblack
We watched Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer last night on CBS. As near as we
could tell the airplane danced on its tail, which would make it a
'taildancer' I suppose.
Does anyone know for sure what was wrong with the airplane?
Reading the links below we learn:
The girl doll was nuts.

My first 100 Bus hours- reflections on the A-320 by
Capt.Doug
I'm writing this while cruising at FL370, staring at a bright half-moon
through the windscreen, waiting for falling stars. There isn't a cloud in
the sky tonight. I have my laptop sitting on a pull-out tray in front of me
and plugged into a 110V outlet. The cockpit is quiet, as are the radios...
