Custom Checks with GA Theme? by
Bob Chilcoat
I need to order checks. Does anyone know where you can get checks with a GA
theme? None of the internet check companies seem to have GA aircraft. I
found some Air Force fighters, but I want something to do with GA. I know
that I can have checks made with a custom photo, but I was wondering...

Boring airliners? by
John Gaquin
wrote in message
P.S. Not a lot of comments from the US about the A380 now it flies.
Nothing extraordinary to comment on. Big is not new. The 380 is only a few
feet larger than a 747; beefier, longer wing for the weight, but essentially
they've just added a second...

Celebrity Pilots by
Jay Honeck
While contemplating a "Celebrity Pilot's Suite" (or something like that) I
was just absent-mindedly searching the FAA database for movie stars, and
found this:

NASA chokes again by
Jay Honeck
After more than two years, and less than a month from scheduled launch,
NASA decides to pull the shuttle off the launch pad, transport it back
to the vehicle assembly building, and install a HEATER?
This took two years to figure out?
I swear, Gene Kranz must shake his head in disbelief at what...

Mountain flying knowledge required? by
Peter R.
In late May I am planning to fly across the US, from NY to southern
California, with a return stop in Denver, CO. This will be done in a
single-engine, turbo-normalized Bonanza with on-board O2, and this is
the first time I have done this. My plan is to fly the majority of it
under IFR flight...

Amos is spamming the net so hard, that Google Groups can't keep up
with its automated replies to abuse reports! But will Google consider
closing their unmonitored Usenet gateway?

Filemaker Pro logbook by
Wizard of Draws
Does anyone here use Filemaker Pro for keeping their logbook? I've just
finished creating one in version 6 because Excel seems to be getting
unwieldy as my time grows.
Since I'm a newbie at FMP, I wouldn't mind letting someone more experienced
with the program take a look and give me some...

Meigs Trip Pics by

X-No-Archive: yes
Thought I would share my photo collection of a trip to Meigs (CGX) a friend
and I took on December 31, 2001 in Archer N5360F. This is the plane that
was lost along with it's pilot in Lake Michigan Monday night.

Where to rent in Seattle? by
'Vejita' S. Cousin
Howdy. I'm a PP-ASEL VFR only renter living in Seattle. I go to the
UW and live in Wallingford. Due to school I haven't been up in 6mo. I
finally got a break (well lighter load) and the weather is nice; but it
turns out that the place I use rent from no longer has rentals (Aeroflight
a BFI). I...

Sad Accident over Deland by
Jay Honeck
After landing in Deland, FL just last month (on our way to Titusville,
Florida), and witnessing the almost unbelievable sky-diving activity there,
it came as no surprise to read that there was a fatal accident there a
couple of days ago.
I was especially saddened to see that the man who was killed...

Airbus 380 weight by
Corky Scott
The Airbus 380 takeoff weight is pegged at 1,235,000 lbs. For
comparison purposes, the C5A has a maximum takeoff weight of 769,000
lbs.
The maximum landing weight listed for the AB 380 is 891,000 lbs.,
which is more than the maximum takeoff weight of the C5A.
So perhaps it is the case that the...

The title says it all.
Just received the latest price sheet from TOTAL.
Probably about the same throughout Europe.
JET-A is exactly half the price.

Maybe the examiner reads this newsgroup.
