Cherokee Pilots Association Fly-In by
Jay Honeck
Here's a teaser video from last year's very successful CPA fly-in:
http://www.manxsr.com/tantara/flyin.wmv
It is being held once again at Tan-Tar-A Resort, in Osage Beach, MO
(Lake of the Ozarks area). This year's dates are August 5 - 7, and I
urge every Cherokee driver to attend -- IMHO it's...

Hi all. Anyone have a suggestion where I can download a video clip of say
flying through canyons or low over terrain? Something one might use in a
music video idea. That's not the intended purpose however - just personal
use.
Thanks,
MajBach

Garmin finally send the CDROM "in flight Demo"
I put it into my HP CD Writer plus and it will not run.
If I go to MY Computer and click on drive E it says the drive is not ready.
Other CDROMs work fine,

I'm going to "Laser" a pilot. by
Happy Dog
Hello FBI surveillance software?
Anyway, I am now in possession of one brand new "Jasper" DPSS 5mw laser from
bigha.com. That's the same laser used in the recent media hyped incidents
at KTEB. I'm going to test the claims that pilots can be visually impaired
empirically. (Guess who the pilot...

This is killing me!!! by
mindenpilot
Sorry for the rant.
I just flew into Reno tonight.
As it turns out, Sierra Air Center, the only GA facility on the ramp that
doesn't charge a ramp fee, now charges a $15 parking fee.
Yup, as of Jan 1 there's no more free landing at Reno.
What makes it worse is they said, "There's no fee if you get...

Hopefully not the start of a new trend ... by
Cockpit Colin
Watching the news last night ...
First up - Authorities have released the names of the 3 killed in a Sennica
crash. (3rd crash in that part of the country in (I think) about as many
months)
Second up - Video footage from the funeral of the 2 killed in a 172 crash
several days ago.
Third up -...

Red Hot Pilot by
Big John
If you think you are a good pilot check this out.
This is truly amazing...............wish I had the talent of the flyer
of this model.................
This needs a fast computer, so don't go here unless you do. This is
some fantastic flying even for a model.

CSI Miami episode "Money Plane" by
Ben Hallert
The folks at CSI:Miami never let things like 'fact checking' or
'realism' get in the way of the story. Even though the show has
reprehensible science, their dogged consistency is almost worthy of
grudging admiration. Most shows (no matter how badly they might try to
stay completely ridiculous)...

At first blush this seems totally off-topic. But it is definitely
on-topic in the sense that I only post to the rec.aviation.*
newsgroups, and the formatting of my posts in those newsgroups is
getting seriously mucked up when I use Google Groups to do it. Things
like not wrapping quoted text...

Phoenix FBO Recommendations by
Robert Easton
I'm planning a trip to AZ and I was wondering about FBO's in the Phoenix
area. I'm looking to rent a Cessna 152/172. Anybody have any
recommendations? I'll probably do an aircraft boneyard safari.
Thanks, Robert
