Gyrocopter requirements and limitations by
Andy L
I'm not sure if you guys here are up on this here. But I've read here quite
a bit and witnessed some valuable knowledge, and some real idiots. I'll try
to sort through responses.
I am a private pilot ASEL and typically fly rented Cessnas and Pipers.
Airplane and fuel costs have gotten me to...

When Airline Pilots WON'T speak ENGLISH!!! by
hello
The FO does most of the communications; they don't trust my perfect
English. In South Fl if you speak good English you can't communicate
properly. I have had a lot of fun with my language in Miami. Most people
(latins) assume I don't speak or understand Spanish, and it is quite funny
when they...

Why can't the French dump fuel? by
Robert M. Gary
Does anyone have any insight into why the A320 isn't able to dump fuel.
What factors would go into such a design compromise?

WSJ Book Review: Jetpack Dreams by
John Smith
After the debacle at the 2008 AirVenture, this may be an interesting
look at the history of these devices.

Great Idea, Limited Uplift
Years ago, Buck Rogers fans yearned to make the jetpack fantasy real.
Today, a few obsessed engineers keep trying.

Mid-air collision over Colorado by
Jeff none
2 Cessna's(a 210 and a 180) collided over CO the other day.Yet all 6
people on both planes survived uninjured. The 210 landed without it's
nosewheel and the 180 landed upside down and w/o it's tail assembly(most
likely snapped off by the 210).Absolutely amazing.

KLN-90B by
[email protected]
I am considering KLN-90B as replacement for my M-3 Approach. Question
for experienced KLN-90B users: Legality aside, can you operate
KLN-90B in approach mode (doing GPS approaches) with an outdated
database?
Thanks in advance,
Robin Hou

passed commercial written by

written is half of the commercial written information, with the other
half being new material. Any reality to that?
I also have watched a few videos of fellow group members flying, and

Landing KJAN with ATC Communications - Video by

First crack at this.
Comments most welcomed here or on the video to improving these type of
videos.
Still want to work on the sound levels to simulate the actual sound
levels. Engine level a touch lower then in the actual plane. Minor
balancing act :-)

TFR data source? by
Tuno
Does anyone know if there is an FTP or HTTP web resource where I can
download text-based, computer-parsable TFR descriptions on a regular
basis? (I've surfed the FAA and AOPA web sites but can only find
graphical versions.)
Thanks

Yesterday's VFR round robin trip to KRNV Cleveland MS, KJAN Jackson MS
and KMBO full stops at each airport.

Severe clear and rock solid glass smooth air. So smooth, one would
have thought the DG video'd during the climb was broke.:-)
Quite fascinating...

Just push the blue button! by
Darkwing
Cirrus has added a new auto level button on their latest planes. Will a
button on the stick that you push to automatically reset the plane to
straight and level make any difference on Cirrus accidents or is it just a
gimmick? What say you?

Flight to Bennington VT (KDDH) last week by
Kobra[_5_]
Let me make apologies early...this is just some footage from a quick flight
my wife and I took to Bennington, VT last week. It's not refined and was
shot impromto with little to no forethought. For what it's worth.
