insurance: vote with your $ by
misha
How many of you would dare to own a new a/c without having a full hull
value coverage?
After being hit with a $15K premium with a $10K deductable, I have
decided to vote with my hard earned cash against the outrage and to only
get the mandatory liability and not-in-motion. After all, my...

Ack! My ACK! by
MikeremlaP
Am wondering if there's a design flaw in the ACK E-01 ELT or just an anomaly?
Our unit went off by itself today because the battery in the remote panel mount
indicator died, triggering the ELT, and I'd like to know if anyone else has had
this happen?
If a dying battery in the remote ***always***...

Should we rebuild MX 300 NavCom by
Roger Long
We have an MX300 in our 172 that has started producing squeals and static
whenever it is turned on. It was intermittent a month ago and proceeded to
being continuous. We can still transmit and receive if we can stand
listening to the noise.
I turned it on today and could clearly hear a...

Odd Experience with ANR Headset by
Ron Wanttaja
I have a Flightcom Denali ANR headset that does a fairly good job of
cutting down the noise level. However, with an open-cockpit airplane,
there's a limit. When making a long flight, I generally use a pair of foam
earplugs to cut down on the noise energy my ears are exposed to. This
