fact that there are several manufacturers also-- and they use DIFFERENT
NUMBERS!!
Is there a site where I can D/L a comparison chart like they usta have
for the automobiles??--They'd even have 3 columns for heat...

Static thrust for Sonex with 54" prop by
Mel
The Aero-Vee engines seem to be working out okay, but since they weigh
at least 160lbs, they might seem a bit heavy for the thrust produced.
They supposedly make 80hp at 3400 rpm. It matters little how much HP
they make, what matters is how much thrust is applied to the aircraft.
You could have...

Vacuum Pump Question by
Ebby
For A&Ps and others,
Homebuilding ones own plane is very educational. Right now I am learning
about the vacuum system in particular the vacuum pump. My engine, an
O-320-E2D, can take a 211CC or a 215CC. I haven't been able to fnd the
difference in the literature. Does the difference in these...

Rectimo AR1200 by
Adrian Hatton
Can anyone point me to where I can obtain a suitable service manual for
this engine please.
Also any relevant information regarding upgrading from 1200 to 1385cc would
be of interest.
I understand Mahle barel/pistons kits are available that simply fit onto the
existing block and heads.
Pros -...

Question On Space Ship One At Oshkosh by
Paul Dowgewicz (Remove Caps in Address)
I was looking at the back page of Sport Aviation with SS1 covered, and
it trigged a question.
When it was at OSH, there was a group around Brian Binnie and he said
that they couldn't fly that particular day since the insurance
underwriter wouldn't let them. (I'm not sure that statement...

Navcom - handheld VS panel ? by
[email protected]
Hello everyone - my first posting here.
I'm in the process of equipping my Earthstar thundergull with avionics.
This is a very light tandem 2 seater.
I was wondering what type of navcom to go with...handheld or panel
mounted.
Panel space is limited , so a panel radio choice would probably be...

Weir W-2 Gyro by

I've become interested in the Weir W-2 Gyro and was wondering if some
aviation enthusiast that has been to the Scottish museum might have
some photos they could E-mail. Any other info on this old Gyro would
be appreciated. The Internet info seems to be kind of sparse. Yeh, I
know I'm getting...

Intercom question by
Tri-Pacer
Hi All:
Is there an actual requirement that a set of jacks be installed separate
from the intercom jacks that go directly to the radio?
I had thought this was needed so that in case of a catastrophic intercom
failure the radio would still be available.
This has been present in past planes that I...

For Sale - Cleveland wheels and brakes by
John
We have these on our Glasair right now and are swapping them out for
Matco's to get better stopping as they are undersized for our weight
and landing speed. Would be fine for a lighter plane that had a slower
stall speed, like an RV for instance. They actually work O.K. for the
Glasair but we...

It involved me, George W. Bushusuru, and the Devil and a deck of
