Strong 303 parachute gauging interest. by quietpilot
I own a Strong 303 parachute that is in excellent physical condition. people think it is new but is in fact more than 20 years old. It is stored in its carry bag and indoors when not being worn. I have it repacked yearly when Strong's master rigger visits and packs for a local air show. She claims...

Reserve altitude by flypmsc661@gmail.com
Just double checking my understanding of the see you mobile, (Oudie) reserve altitude correction. If I set my reserve at 1000' and my target field is at 700' and my "Arrival Altitude" says 2700' ... does that mean I will arrive at 3700' essentially 2000 above the ground? Dennis DC

DISCUS CS W&B by kochanski777@gmail.com
Good Morning -- The Discus CS maintenance manual (page 29) uses a value of 135mm (5.3 inches) as the 'A' distance between the datum and the main wheel axle. For those who have actually measured this, do you get a range of values -- because of manufacturing differences - or because springs/shocks...

nose section from salvaged standard cirrus. by Scott Williams
Hey Glider Community, Does anyone have the nose section of a standard cirrus equipped with a nose release salvage for sale? I'm considering adding a nose release to my cirrus, even though I have been told it's not cost effective by the U.S. Schempp-hirth Representative. I'll probably never do it,...

Arcus-J video by airshowbob[_3_]
The Arcus-J is flying. Here is a video taken during its first few test flights in Moriarty: https://youtu.be/HQVWCASrZyw As most of you have probably seen, its first three OLC flights were pretty impressive, with a combined distance of ~4,300 km. It is certainly a testament to the exceptional...

Scratch removal advice needed by MNLou
A week ago, I and my crew spent a fair part of day giving my glider a nice wax job. So, of course, 5 days later I landed out in a nice, freshly plowed corn field. The landing went fine but, unfortunately, due to an uneven surface and excessive braking, I put AG up on her nose a couple of...
