Dual screen in FS9 by
John Mullen
Hi!
I'm running XP2000 chip 1GB RAM with GeForce FX 5600 running WXP pro. I am
trying to run FS9 using an old S3 Trio 32/64 card in a PCI slot to drive a
second monitor for dials etc. FS 2002 used to let me do this no probs, but
FS9 goes into software mode whish is so slow as not to be worthwhile...

FS2002 failing with Windows XP - HELP !! by
Jim Kilpatrick
Hope someone can help me - I'm running FS2002 on a 700MHz Duron chipped PC
with 640Mb RAM which was perfectly OK when loaded with Windows ME. Now that
I've loaded Windows XP Pro I can no longer run FS2002. The program loads in
the elements, but just at the point where it's about to display the...

ATI Radeon 9200 dual-head vs FS2002Pro - advice wanted by
Mark Cherry
Hi all,
I have recently bought a new, custom-built PC from a local shop (not a megastore
chain) and budgetary constraints meant that the most expensive part was the CPU
so I had to skimp on the graphics card. But this can always be upgraded later.
My first few attempts at running FS2002 Pro have...

Secret Fuel Procedure FS2002 by
Doug
A guy I work with told me you can fly over an airport at night and
look for a lit up yellow square, then land and go there and park in
the square and you will get refueled. I couldnt find out anything
about this in the help files, so I was doubtful, I always adjusted
fuel through the menus. Anyway...

FS2002 new runway by
cruise
In FS2002, when flying IFR with ATC, on approach I am given vectors to a
particular runway at any given airport. Is there any way of requesting a
different runway?

FS2004 approaches, ATC etc by
henri Arsenault
I played around some more with FS2004 last night. The ATC is much
improved, and you can now see approach plates in the GPS moving map
display.
However the approach plates are not complete. For example, the
approaches to LAX do not have all of the legs of the approaches shown in
the plates, and...

Trying to send you a package, reads "Marine" on the sides, can't get
through your e-mail server. Is there another address to send to? Or would
you prefer I upload to a site that you can download from?
Please let me know,
- Al.

Navigation issue by
Orin
Hi, I'm currently flying a long haul from LDZA (Zagreb) to CYYC
(Calgary) with a stopover at BIKF (Keflavik). Somewhere over Germany I
decided I'd try fiddling with the new GPS. I created the approach for
BIKF RWY 29 via KEILA intersection, CI29 and FI29 intersections, and
have put it on hold....

Flying around Adelaide Australia in the Robinson, I saw cows in a fenced in
area adjacent to a farm house. Anyone seen this or any other sorts of
animals?

Turning down airport lights in FS2004 by
Marc
I notice in a number of flight simultors that the airports tend to be lit up
far brighter than they are in real life. In FS2004 you can pick out the
airport pretty easily by the spot green light or runway lights that kind of
jump out of the scenary. In real life it is much more subtle, especially...

Buffet modeling in FS2004 by
Joseph Brown
It has been suggested over the years, for the sake of realism, that
Microsoft should also model Interior Turbulence in the virtual cockpit of
FS2004. This never happened.
As many suggested, the virtual cockpit should not stay perfectly still all
the time, it should shake and jerk around just a...

FS 2004 and Saitek "Cyborg 3D Gold" stick by
James Pullen
Got FS 2004 a couple of weeks ago and loaded it per directions. Then I
got the updated drivers from Saitek for my Cyborg 3D Gold joystick.
Calibrated stick and booted up FS 2004. About 15-20 minutes into a
flight, doesn't matter which one, the game craps out. Get an error
message and the whole 9...

Defrag before install a good idea? by
Mark Cherry
Quick questions for you all,
How many of you take the time and trouble to defragment before a major install
like FS?
Have you ever tried deactivating virtual memory, defragging, then re-enabling
virtual memory? (To un-frag the swapfile, in effect)
Ever had any problems specifying a fixed-size...

FS2004 by
Damien Booth
Hi,
I was just browsing this news group and noticed that FS2004 is now
available. Yes I know I'm probably a little the times.
Anyway, I've been using FS2002 for over a year now and I think it's great,
but no doubt FS2004 is going to be better. The question is how much better
and is it worth going...
