Should I be irked or not? by
Ol Shy & Bashful
You have every right to be irked. What kind of operation do they run
that you can't get fuel?
I'd sure let the owner know.

Jet Helicopter Question by
Dick
In reviewing the Vortec Jet Helicopter plans, a reference is made to a "fuel
transfer mechanism" modification to the rotor hub/control head.
Although somewhat familiar with fixed wing fuel systems, I can't picture a
"fuel line connection" between a stationary mast and a rotating blade??
Can...

kit helicopter club- Olympia, WA by
160thfan
I need to move my kit helicopter stuff from my house. I have fond a NEW
shop right next to the airport here. It will be finished in about 2
weeks. I am looking to form a club to share the cost of the shop. I
feel a shop would be better for builders than a hanger as far as power
and water access.
I...

Biannual check ride question? by
Eric D
Can a flight instructor that lost his/her medical still give a biannual
check ride? Is the person that received the check ride the pilot in
command or the flight instructor who is giving the biannual?

Third "turbine" on top of large Mil helis? by
[email protected]
Hi, many of the large Mil helis have what looks like a third turbine
above, and slightly behind the two main turbines. What is it? All of
the specs for these helis say they have two turbines. I can see blades
in some photos, so it's obviously something like a turbine.
Thanks,...

Question regarding to a recent R22 crash with failure autorotation by
jbskies
Hi
I am a fix-wing guy. I read about a recent R22 crash in AZ.
http://www.ntsb.gov/NTSB/brief.asp?ev_id=20060228X00255&key=1
I have question that was it the limitation of the R22 caused the
accident, or the pilot failed to, or made serious mistake that causes
the blade stop?
I read about a very...

Way to go, Kevin! :-D
I'll bet that's a load off. Please keep us up to date on how the IFR
training goes. I'm curious to hear your insights on manipulating charts and
such in an aircraft that you really can't let go of for any significant
time. I've got a pretty good idea of how it can go in...
