Working on the ideal single engine tug! by
TugMan
Alright all you pilots, linemen and pseudo-engineers...I am in the
process of designing the perfect single engine aircraft tug! My
company, ForkliftsDirect.com currently carries a line of aircraft tugs
ideal for planes from 12,500 MGTOW up to 30,000 MGTOW. What we've found
is that there is a...

Working on the G-III by
Roger[_4_]
My apologies, but someone asked me if I was still working on the G-III
and I can't find the post. "I think it was here on RAP.
I'm getting back to it. I've done little in the last year due to my
inconvenience last April. However I'm feeling good, getting my
strength back and even did some...

working for flying by
JA_MORAN
I had a job as a computer unix administrator with an electronics company
near the airport. I was able to take flying lessons before or after work
as the work site was about 2 blocks from the FBO...
The company did some reorganizing and budget cuts including eliminating
funding for my position.....

Woody Guthrie: Ship in the Sky by
Kevin Dunlevy[_1_]
I heard this Woody Guthrie song on the radio driving to work this morning.
KD
Ship In The Sky (My Daddy)
Well, a curly-headed girl with a bright shining smile
Heard the roar of a plane as it sailed through the sky
To her playmates she said, with a bright twinkling eye
My Daddy flies that ship in...

Wood Laminations and Springback by
Kyle Boatright
I'm working on the center section for a Hatz. The trailing edge of the
center section is a recurved lamination that provides better access to the
front cockpit.
I've steamed and clamped the strips into a form, and they have taken on some
of the curve, but when I unclamp 'em after they dry, I...

Wondering about Beechcraft V-tail Baron/Two engine Bonanza? by
tigglys
We have a little toy model that looks like a V-tail Baron. Was such a
thing ever made? It doesn't quite look like the Super "V" because there
is another set of windows. (We were getting ready to list it on e-bay
and aren't sure what to call it.)
The toy is a Sky Skipper by Gabriel/Hubley.

Women are better pilots than men by
Nathalie Hutt
Men are too dumb to fly, they will think of their penises all the time
and crash into mountains.Women are far more skilled and not driven by
small "joysticks".

Withering heat... by
Jay Honeck
Whew! Okay, you guys in the Southwest don't need to share
EVERYTHING.
It was 94 degree here at 11 AM, with enough humidity to curl my ever-
diminishing hair. Even though it's a beautiful day here, Unicom is
dead -- ain't nobody flying till the sun gets lower...
On the flip side, our outdoor...

With the wind? by
smallg
Okay, I've never even had a flying lesson, which
may explain it, but yesterday afternoon I stopped
by a local airport to watch some planes, and noticed
that the tower had them all taking off and landing
more *with* the wind than against it. The wind
was blowing at around 10-12 mph (around 10
or so...
