Looking for a 9/11 retrospective thread by XXXXX
I'm in search of a thread that was made here (actually a few threads that were made here), where everyone gave stories about what they were doing on 9-11-01. I'm searching google, but can't find anything. Anyone want to give me any hints?

Hi guys, first of all: Happy Newyear! I have a quick question on the Garmin GPSmap 496 (,which I bought about a month ago). Is there a way to simulate a route? I know it works in automotive mode but (if it's there) I could not find it in aviation mode :-( I thought, as a student pilot, it...

9:19pm Sunday... Ok, I kid you not... I JUST got an "attempt" at a collect call... from the Oshkosh Correctional Institute! Now, I admit to be terrible at remembering names, but if there is a Louis Penna in the group, I'm sorry for not accepting the charges. Jim

In-Ear Headsets by John Clonts
Who else makes an in-ear aviation headset other than Clarity Aloft and Lightspeed? I thought I had seen reference to another one, cheaper, from a start-up, within the last few months? It had an "obvious" sort of URL like "inearheadset.com" or something like that (obviously not obviouse enough for...

How to break your Garmin 396 by Dan Luke
Just let battery run down with the USB XM weather antenna connected. I did this to see how much battery life I would get with the screen set at half brightness (5+ hours), but when I reconnected external power, the unit begin an endless series of re-boots, never getting past the "I agree" lawyer...

getting into the airplane business by Mark
I'd appreciate any intelligent input into this idea I've had presented to me. One person told me about someone who did this with a new Cessna 172, and it was paid off...
