Badwater Bill by

I did know Bill personally and always found him a facinating
character. Every time I did post to rah Bill would always simply reply
" I thought you was dead" I'll really miss him.

Response to Harvey Swack by
flybd5
In April of 2007 a Mr. Harvey Swack published a letter attacking the
"scruples" of Jim Bede, allegedly because Jim Bede did not flight test
the aircraft. The letter was in response to an article the son of a
BD-5 builder wrote about his experiences with his dad and the building
and flying of his...

Metal cutting bandsaw problem by
Anthony W
Anybody here have any experience with one of these critters? I bought a
Jet 1/2 HP last month for cutting aluminum. The saw looks to be of
exceptional quality for being Taiwanese and I'm overall pleased with how
it's made but assembling it was less than fun (getting the legs on was a...

Anyone going to, or at, NBAA 2007 in Atlanta? Anyone near Atlanta?

Makin' Stencils by
RST Engineering
When the big old BlueonBlue182 goes on an overnighter, it is much easier to
carry "stuff" in those nylon drawtop bags than in suitcases, boxes, etc..
The drawback is that you can't really tell what is in the bag without
pulling it out, opening it up, etc.
(Please don't tell me to buy color...

Anybody here have a CH701? by
Regnirps
I keep looking at teh web site and owner's sites. I wish the cruise was a
little higher and when you check out the full deflection maneuvering speed you
have to wonder how stron it is.
There is also the pegasthol wing with pressure actuated slats. Higher cruise
but they have some kind of argument...

Labels for cockpit? by
[email protected]
I've been wondering what to do for labels in the cockpit of a homebuilt. The
Brother line of printers looks like it might be good. They have tape that
prints white on a black background in a variety of widths. I like the
traditional look of white on black, but I don't know if these labels...

Rear engine in a crash question by
BernadetteTS
I've been reading through the BD-5 thread and have a question.
I guess this is an opinion thread but what happens to a rear engine
mounted directly behind the pilot in a crash? In something like an
ultralight, BD-5, Cutiss pusher or Vari-EZ does an engine have a
tendency to rip loose and go...
