OT - No Pic. Question about the EE Lightning by
Neil Hoskins
I watched a documentary on telly the other evening about the earth's
atmosphere. The presenter was taken to 50,000ft and beyond in what looked a
lot like a lightning, which amazed me as I'd assumed there weren't any still
flying. If I'm right, then how many are still flying, and when/where can...

Trivium or false? by
Square Wheels[_3_]
Got this in an email full of 'little-known facts'. Most were correct, but
a few were not.
So, does this seem about right? I would have guessed more.
I checked out Snopes, but no reference there.
"The average number of people airborne over the US any given hour: 61,000"

A note about the L-19, which was used in-country, but not for missions
north of the DMZ: The L-19 is/was similar to the Cessna 180, except that
the 180 sits four and the L-19 is narrowed down to two seats, fore and
aft. With the windows closed, it is easy to look beneath the aircraft
without...

Question by
TacAN
I have a un-confirmed report that there is now a air worthy (flying) DH
Mosquito in the USA.
I know of at least one (in NZ) that is being restored to flying
condition, but has not yet flown.
Anyone know anything about the flying Mossie?
Thanks

787 ! by
Bob (not my real pseudonym)
I did finally notice my error and got one crappy shot off before she
disappeared behind the trees. Lens (Bigma) wide open at f/6.7 and
1/90 sec - only the Maxxum's anti-shake kept this from being a
completely 787-shaped blur.
I'll keep trying...
