Info on Tilt- Rototrs Needed by
[email protected]
Hey guys, I am thinking on giving a seminar on Tilt-Rotor Aircrafts as
a part of my Mechanical Engineering Final Year Syllabus. However all
the info i found on the net (read Google) deals with the BA-609 and the
Osprey specifically and not with the concept of Tilt Rotors. Can anyone
help me out?...

Rotorway To Develop Certified Helicopter by
601XL Builder
RotorWay International, based in Chandler, Ariz., has sold more than 900
kits for small homebuilt helicopters, and now is starting development of
a certified version. "We see a large opening in the market for a larger,
two-seat, 21st-century helicopter with a sensible price," said CEO Grant...

Question for the Turbine pilots. by
601XL Builder
We have a doctor who just bought a 206 and after less than a month the
chopper has been sent for a new engine. I heard he had a "Hot Start" and
burned out the engine.
While I'm both fixed wing and helicopter certified I have zero
experience with jets so what did he do? And what's it gonna cost him?

Consistant trailing edges on rotor blades by
3D-Don
I saw something on TV a few nights ago on Discovery Wings, on the show
"A Chopper Is Born". For those not familiar with the show, a guy from
England is building an Exec helo and the build process is filmed and
played back in half hour segments. Any who...

Sikorsky tour by
160thfan
I know there used to be a big Sikorsky fan on this group. If he is
still around I hoped to see if tours are possible and if so what is
really worth extra effort to see?
Thanks

kit helicopter club- Olympia, WA by
160thfan
I need to move my kit helicopter stuff from my house. I have fond a NEW
shop right next to the airport here. It will be finished in about 2
weeks. I am looking to form a club to share the cost of the shop. I
feel a shop would be better for builders than a hanger as far as power
and water access.
I...

UH-1F Huey help by
Hello,
I've looked 'high and low' but cannot locate a Speed Decreaser Gear (SDG) to
fit a T58-GE-3 engine. I believe this motor originally flew in a UH-1F Huey.
The SDG needs to be complete, in running condition but does not require
'air-worthy' paperwork (as this for a 'non-aircraft' application)...

Any UH-1F Huey mechs out there? by
I need some help identifying a part for a UH-1F.
I'm trying to identify the throttle linkage arm that connects to the splined
shaft on the fuel control of a T58-GE-3 turbine that was installed in the
early UH-1F Hueys (aircraft 66-1222). Could you look in your pub and send me
a picture of this...

Vortechonline HRH by
Just wondering if anyone has built the Hot Rod Helicopter using the plans
from Vortech Online? Any thoughts / comments as to the quality of the
plans?
Thank you
