New A&P: Typical Starting Salary Range ? by
Robert11
Hello:
Realize there are a zillion variables, but what is a typical starting salary
range for
a newly minted A&P ?
Airlines, in general, hiring gain these days, or are they still laying off
A&P's ?
Thanks,

When bad things happen to good planes by
R.Hubbell
I thought I saw this plane on So. Cal. a year or to ago. My recollection
was that it was in great shape.
http://images.traderonline.com/img/2/dealer/3028490/60128272_1.jpg
I suppose it will live to fly again some day.
Seems like a lot of dough for a plane that wrinkled, maybe
it's not as bad as...

757 flaps miss-aligned in cruise by
AnyBody43
Hi,
I recently flew on a TCX... flight on what I suspect was a Boeing
757-200. The registration number was G-Fxxx.
I noticed that the trailing-edge inner and outer flaps were not aligned
with each other in the cruise. The flaps appeared to be fully retracted.
I estimate that the Outer Flap...

A&P school - All the same? by
no wings
Hi all,
I'm thinking of going back to school for AMT. Just wondering if all
the schools are pretty much the same, or if some are lots better. And
do employers really care.
Or if anyone cares to comment on their own training -- what should I
look for in an A&P program, what sort of experience...

Hiking and Flying in the Northeast by
Ken
Does anyone know of any airports reasonably close to hiking trails in
the Northeast? I know of Black Moshannon State park near Mid state
airport in Pennsylvania but was wondering about others. Trying to
combine two of my interests.
Thanks,
Ken

sorta package deal. I've scoured Sport Aviation and looked on the
internet, but can't seem to find anything like it besides EAA chapter

12,500-pound aircraft by
Maurice Givens
I seem to remember that back in the '70s there was a requirement for
an ATP certificate to act as PIC for aircraft weighing over 12,500
pounds. I also seem to remember that the corporate jets were kept
below the 12,500-pound limit for this reason. I can no longer find
this requirement in te...
