Anyone have PIREPs about this product? Does it contain approaches
that we can study while not yet flying and on the ground? What's your
overall take on it. Jay, is this the one you use?

Honeywell KFC-225 autopilot - what could cause this failure? by
Joerg
Hi Peter,
The mpeg didn't play for me but just a few thoughts:
Since they say they couldn't reproduce it on the ground, could this be a
noise issue? Possible sources would be the radio, a transponder
transmission, engine ignition, maybe a motor driven trim, fuel equalizer
pump if you have one....

Reported in the Sacramento Bee:

destroyed the vintage aircraft she was flying.
Perhaps even more remarkable, after walking nearly two miles from...

Flying in Hong Kong by
Bartscher
I tried posting this earlier, but I don't think AOL cooperated:
I'll be in Hong Kong later in the month for business, and I've arranged to take
a flight in one of the Hong Kong Flying Club's Cessna 172s. I'm still in the
process of getting some info from the club contacts (who have been very...

Hire of aircraft in France by
SWK
Hello folks,
I will be in Paris in about a fortnights time and was hoping that I
could hire an aircraft to do some private flying. Somewhere to the
north or northeast in preference. The license side I have already
sorted out.
I have found a few aeroclubs in the area which seem to be OK, but...

Engine doesn't make minimum static rpm by
Bob Fry
Aircoupe Alon A2 with C90 engine with two props, one 48" pitch and the
other 52". It doesn't make the static runup RPM minimums with either
one, for instance the 48" prop should be 2225 to 2325 rpm, I averaged
out to 2162 rpm. Likewise the 52" prop falls short 100 rpm or more.

The current condition and location of the aircraft are unknown. A
recent search of the FAA N number database list the Pro's N number
(N5143T) as reserved, with no aircraft assigned to the number. A
search of the NYSB aviation accident database can find no accident
involving N5143T.
Does anybody...
