New/Old Video and Glider PR - John Denver & Janus by CindyB[_2_]
A crazy link took me to a John Denver video on You Tube. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u4ChlFnXctE It has been posted there a long while, but I posted into the comments, about the Janus perhaps being owned then by David Allen of Colorado. I think it is the Janus that was N2AA. And I provided...

Comparing Drjack XCSkies RASP and TopMeteo - U.S. Soaring - Comments? by WaltWX[_2_]
I am interested in hear U.S. glider pilot comments on the pros/cons of all these sites for soaring forecasts. I have used them all at one time or another and find them generally comparable. But, some like RASP and DrJack do a much better job of locating convergence zones/shear lines....

World Contest - Open Class by Jonathan St. Cloud
Was looking over the entry sheet for WGC 2017. The open class seem dominated by 21 meter ships. Only two 23 meters (new generation open class) and four EB29. Nary a Nimbus 4 or ASW-22. Shame these beautifully ladies of the sky are not competitive with even the 21 meter birds. There is nothing...

Speed Astir flap speeds by Skypilot
Hi Guys, One of our club members has just bought a beautiful Speed Astir. Does anyone have an idea of speed to fly flap settings or did Dick Johnson ever do a test on one. Most of the other flapped gliders have some sort of recommendations for cruise vs climb Justin

Free TE probes by [email protected]
It looks like I'll finish this batch a bit ahead of schedule. If I can finish making and adding the shank fittings this weekend I will start mailing them out Monday 28 November. It also looks like I might have one left over--when I make parts like this I always kit out one or two extra assemblies...

Take your plane to work day. by Matt Herron Jr.
Last week, I conjured up a holiday called "Take your plane to work day" as an excuse to bring my Ventus C to the office. I assembled it in the parking lot and invited the whole company out to learn a bit about soaring during lunch. Folks could sit in the cockpit, get their picture taken, and ask...

Genesis 2 Akaflieg polar by Chris Wedgwood[_2_]
Hi all, I believe that this flight test was done, and a polar exists, but I can't get a hold of it. Maybe it's confidential. If anyone can obtain it for me, I'd be very grateful :) OXO, Condor Team www.condorsoaring.com

Hi, Does anyone perhaps have an electronic version of an ASH-25 flight manual, or know where I might find one? I'm renting one for a week in December (South African summer). Flying it will be a new experience for me, and I'd like to be as prepared as possible. I found one electronic version by...
