mikem
I need some help with Piper part numbers. I'm looking for the
Piper Part numbers of the 6.00x6 nose wheel fork used on the
"heavier" Cherokees, Comanchees, etc.
Jay Honeck and Don Tuite sent reprints of the PA28 manual
pages which show only the 5.00x5 wheel and hardware. Thanks guys.

Scanner by
Greg
I plan on going to Oshkosh again this year. I enjoy getting there a
couple of days early and sit near the flight line and watch all the
planes arrive. I think it would be more enjoyable if I had a scanner
to listen to air traffic control. Could someone recommend an
inexpensive scanner for this...

737-700 by
louis
Hi,
Recently I was in a 737-700 during my trip. I noticed that the
landing speed was quite high. Anyone know what the normal landing
speed is for this aircraft?
Also, I noticed that there was another way to slow down the aircraft
after touching down. Was it reverse thrust of the engines? I...

Space in Europe by
MINIWI
If anyone wants to get a clue what small means in Europe, see
the Powerpoint slides under alt.binaries.pictures.aviation.
The Zurich Airport got in trouble 'cause of it's approach area,
but landing in St.Marteen seams to be fun. So whats the problem in Zurich?

Interior shops by
GFC
Can anyone provide some suggestions on some reasonable interior shops in the Kentucky or adjacent state areas? I know of Air Mod by Sporty's, but they are very expensive. I'm looking for good work at a fair price.
Thanks

Preferred Routes on the net by
Roy Smith
I found another cool web resource today:
http://www.fly.faa.gov/Products/Coded_Departure_Routes/NFDC_Preferred_Rou
tes_Database/nfdc_preferred_routes_database.html
It's the database of IFR preferred routes. There's a fairly basic
search page, or you can just download the whole thing as one big...

I had a very strange experience on a flight from HPN (White Plains, NY)

GPS: Apollo GX-50
Nav/Com 1: Apollo SL-30 Nav/Com (slaved to the GX-50)
Nav/Com 2: King KX-155 Nav/Com
plus some other stuff whose exact model...

Where would you most like to crash? by
Kyler Laird
I've thought about the possibilities of using GPS and air data along
with a well-stocked GIS to advise a pilot of the better places to
ditch. Using aircraft performance, wind, and terrain elevation
data, it would be fairly easy to determine the areas that could be
reached if power was lost. The...
