Cell phone headset adapter? by
Alan
Yes, I want to talk on my cell phone, listen to Flight Watch and
fiddle with the sectionals all at once! Well, maybe one at a time.
I've seen ads for these guys with prices ranging from $19.95 to $170.
Anyone have any experience with these and/or a recommendation?
Thanks.

Cell Phone Hedset Adapters by
Jon Kraus
We now have 43H based at an airport where the AWOS is broadcast over
their NDB. Since 43H no longer has an ADF I'd like to see about getting
a cellphone to headset adapter and see if I can dial up the AWOS instead.
Does anyone have any recommenations as to whether these units function
as...

Cellphone weather inflight by

My wife and I made our trip from Wisconsin to Texas on the 4th of July
weekend in our Cessna 172, flying back to Wisconsin the following weekend.
We tried using the Garmin Pilot MyCast application on our Alltel cellphone
in-flight along the way, and while it worked well on the ground during
refuel...

I was at the local Altell cellphone shop the other day, and they were
showing me a new USB doodad that you can plug into your laptop computer and
use the internet anywhere they have signal coverage (most of the nation from
the chart they showed me) at DSL speeds. It's aimed at people who are on...

Century 2000 vs. S-TEC 65 by
Dico
Hello Folks...
I am looking for some opinions on these two autopilots. They both look
like modern systems at roughly the same price points. Just wondering
if people can provide some real life information and things one should
watch out for.
Thanks,

Century 2000 altitude hold issue... by
Dico
Hello All,
Just the past couple flights we've had an issue with the altitude hold
-- it doesn't work anymore. When pressed, the plane pitches up to
about 1500ft/min climb rate.
After flying around for 10 minutes and trying it again the plane would
only pitch up about 500' per min. After about...

Century Ic and GPS by
Grandmaster
Anyone know...Do I need a Digital to Analog converter to connect my
Garmin 396 to my Century Ic? Anyone got any schematics? Does anyone
have a setup like this? How efficient is the wing leveler (does it
hold a track when slaved to a gps source)?
Thanks, Kelly

Century Ic Pinout by
Grandmaster
Hi, Does anyone have a graphical representation of the Century Ic
wiring harness? The Century web site schematic displays the pinouts in
a single line, but the connector has parallel rows. My (18 pin)
connector shows that the pins run in a circle as opposed to 1-9 then
starting back at the...

Century IIIB Rate Filter Parts and Schematics by
PilotMike2004
Hi,
I just traced an autopilot problem to my 1B440-2 rate filter. A screw came out
of the metal stand off, it slid down and shorted something out. For the time
being I made a bypass cable from connectors I ordered from Newark.com and the
autopilot functions but does oscillate sometimes.
The...

Cessna 150 @ $11,245 per hour by
mce
Well, at least that's my cost basis since I've only put on a little
under 2 hours so far for the demo flight and the short hop home to RDU.
I'm a long-time lurker, first time poster, and first time aircraft
owner. I've learned quite a bit since finalizing the sale just this past
Wednesday, but...

Cessna 150 Cruising by
Anony Mouse
I had a combined CHT/EGT installed recently.
A poster (MichaelR) suggested to go full throttle.
My advice: Don't do that.
Your CHT will be to high, you'll set yourself
up for frequent cylinder overhauls.
I take off full throttle and then throttle back
to 2600. The CHT will be around 380 F,...

Cessna 150 Door Latch. by
brian whatcott
The exterior door latch paddle is spring loaded to
close - it opens in the "suicide" i.e. blow open direction.
The two coil springs holding the paddle closed were
made of regular steel, so they corrode and finally break.
Stainless springs are better.
It is a regular performance to remove the...
