Panel on C-130 vertical stab question by
B2431
On C-130s painted in camoflauge they used to leave a panel bare on each side of
the vertical stab. There was a circle in the middle that was painted. What was
the purpose of doing this?

Earth planes vs. UFOs from Outer Space? by
Adam Ben Nalois
You know, soon alien will invade the world.Maybe 5-10 years from now,
than it´s time.
So do you think Earth planes, including prototypes and experimental
planes could have a chance against UFOs if
- UFOs have anti-grav
- laser guns
- space-flight abilities
- possibly deflector shields

Jet fighter top speed at military power by
David L. Pulver
I am wonderning what the top speed (in mph) a clean F-15C, Mirage
2000, F-16C, and MiG-29 could accelerate to in level flight at optimum
altitude (not just sea level) without afterburner. I usually see the
top clean speed and the top sea level speed (with afternburner?)
quoted, but rarely the top...

FINALLY -- 9-11 panel will investigate NORAD by
Laura Bush murdered her boy friend
We need some answers here as to why FOUR commercial jets were hijacked
and flew HUNDREDS of miles off course for up to TWO hours while our
air defenses did nothing!!!!. Let's hope they call that traitor
General Eberhart who was in charge of Norad at the time. So far he
has not been disciplined...

ANTHRAX IN A CAN by
Cribsheet
ANTHRAX IN A CAN
When a lone terrorist can decimate a city with a Coke can full of anthrax
it’s time to rethink our policies. Over six million 40x8x8 foot containers
enter our ports annually and less than six percent are inspected. It only
takes one container to conceal weapons that could wipe...

tricycle undercarriage by
G. Stewart
From late WW2 onwards, many aircraft designs started using the
tricycle undercarriage scheme. Prior to this, most used the other one
(you know, two large wheels up in front, with the plane tilted back
onto a small support wheel).
Why the change? Well, good visibility (while...

Blue Angels Show by
ramrod48
The Blue Angels are in St. Louis this weekend. Having seen several
shows in past years, I'm surprised that they've flown only the "low
show" here this year. Initially, I thought that perhaps the ceilings
were marginal, but yesterday's weather was perfect. The only reasons
I can think of: (a)...
