Sun 100 and Sun 60 races by Tedstriker
I noticed that SNF cancelled the Sun 100 and Sun 60 races this year. Anyone know why? I'm not sure if it was due to a lack of interest or lack of entries. Or maybe some insurance snafu.

Sun goes dark, rivers run red, Facetmobile webpage updated. by Richard Riley
If you've looked outside and found a rain of frogs, don't worry, it's not Ragnarok. Barnaby Wainfan has updated the Facetmobile web page. http://members.aol.com/slicklynne/facet.htm The best part is a study he's just written for NASA on a theoretical composite super-Facetmobile as a Personal Air...

Sun N Fun '07 Redux by Jay Honeck
Mary and I just returned from 6 glorious days at Sun N Fun in Lakeland, FL, where we enjoyed the most amazingly perfect weather I have ever seen at such an event. The nights were cool (almost cold the first few nights) -- perfect for sleeping -- and the days were sunny and warm. No humidity, no...

Sun N Fun First Day by Orval Fairbairn[_2_]
I flew in today, arriving about 10:15 AM. Inbound traffic was the lightest that I have seen in the 10 years I have been going there. THere were only a couple of other planes at Lake Parker, so we were directed right in. I had trouble understanding the tower controller, but got enough to "land...

Sun N Fun Flight Line Access & Tickets? by DL152279546231
Last time I went to Sun N Fun was in 1990 and I think back then you had to be an EAA member or pilot to get out to the homebuilt parking area. I plan to take my 75 year old Dad. I am not a current EAA member anyone know what the current rules are? How about ticket prices or a schedule of events? I...

All I remember from 1990 is, a lot of traffic-cars and planes, and I had a really good time. Is there a hotel that might be close and have a vacancy at this time? Or,...

Sun'n Fun Used to Be the Gathering of the Good Ol' Boys of Flying by jls
'Taint now. Get ready to have your wallet plucked. And that rule about ice chests and backpacks, that's so you'll not be bringing in your beer at $5 a sixpack from the supermarket down the street. You'll need to buy it at $4 per beer and $10 per hamburger on premises. A fool and his money...
