My Apache Training by
Mark S Conway
I recently purchased my first twin.
A 1957 Piper Apache.
I have been training in it for my Multi, Commercial, Instrument all at

We finally got into all the single engine ops today, and I am grinning from
ear to ear. We did actual shut downs and...

New Overhead Vents for Early Archer by
Bob Chilcoat
As a followup to my earlier post about replacement overhead vents for our
Archer. See what I did with the plastic eyeball vents I found. They look
great. I posted pictures on alt.binaries.aviation.pictures under the same
title.

TBO Increase? by
Jay Honeck[_2_]
I was just reading Flying magazine's article on the Diamond DA20 XLS (or
whatever they're calling their new, spiffed-up model), and noted that the
TBO on the IO-360 was listed as 2200 hours.
Is that accurate? I thought all Lycosaurs of the 360 vintage had 2000 hour
TBOs...

TripFarmer
I just changed the mineral oil after 25 hours with new Superior Millenium
cylinders (standard cast). The rings are broken in and consumption has
stabilized. My analysis came back with high Lead, Chrome, and Nickel
levels which Superior says it normal with these cylinders. However, the
analysis...

Interior shops by

Can anyone provide some suggestions on some reasonable interior shops in the Kentucky or adjacent state areas? I know of Air Mod by Sporty's, but they are very expensive. I'm looking for good work at a fair price.
Thanks

P-1000 digital tech by
[email protected]
I have a Horizon Instruments, Inc. P-1000 Digital Engine Tachometer.
It has a 6-pin connector labeled "Amphenol 14S-6PF". Does anyone have
a source to buy a matching connector to build its hardness? Also,
anyone has pin-out for this unit?
Thanks in advance.
