4-blade Pawnee Performance? by
noel.wade
Can anyone out there with experience behind both 2-bladed and 4-bladed
Pawnees give me an idea of what the performance losses are?
My club has debated this off and on, but I was recently at a field
with a 4-bladed Pawnee and was much impressed with the lower noise.

A friend keeps insisting that a 4-place glider was built at one time.
Can anyone verify, identify, or point to a picture?

I had been looking at the soaring forecasts the night before and thought...

406 Mhz ELT Question by
Gary Emerson
In looking at the 406 ELTs, it does not appear that they have the
capability that a PLB does to receive GPS position after activation in
order to directly transmit location in the event of a crash.
Does anyone know if any ELTs with this feature are on the horizon?

Walter was always interested in sailplanes, competed all over the country and his wife Kay was a;ways a big...

4th July Independence Day Message to the US by
Derek Copeland
A recent UK Parliamentary Committee, who are definitely
not revolutionary hotheads, concluded that the so called
'War on Terrorism', far from curing the problem, is
actually stoking up further terrorist problems, with

5 volt DC power converters by
John Ferguson
Some time ago I noticed in a post a link to a DC/DC
converter IC. I'd like to investigate these and would
appreciate a repost if possible. I have tried searching
the archives but can't come up with the right search
phrase or the post is older than I remember.
Thanks,
John
