AD for Blanik revised by Eric Munk
http://ad.easa.europa.eu/ad/2011-0135R1 EASA have revised their AD that grounded the Blaniks in 2010/2011. It now also explicitly states the Aircraft Industries/Blanik Ltd. modification is considered a terminating action for the AD (i.e.: modify it and you can fly it).

Adapting medical cannulas to work with an EDS? by Bill G
Has anyone figured this out? I want to be able to have cannulas for all my clients for flying near Aspen, but $8 a pop for someone who may only use it once is pricy. I noticed medical cannulas are only about $2-3. Has anyone figured an way to adapt them to an EDS? Thanks!

Add on rating review Williams Soaring by [email protected]
I ended up getting my add on glider rating at Williams Soaring. For all the frustration my local club has caused me, earning the add on was easier than a solo check out with my club (Evergreen Soaring at KAWO), not an exaggeration. I think it took 12 flights or so before I was ready for the...

As I interpret 14 CFR 61.63 (Additional aircraft ratings ...), particularly this part, an applicant for a category add-on rating: (4) Need not take an additional knowledge test, provided the applicant holds an airplane, rotorcraft, powered-lift, weight-shift-control aircraft, powered parachute, or...

Adding an airplane rating to private pilot glider by gmcd05
Does anyone know what the requirements are to add a private pilot airplane rating if you already have a private pilot glider? I know the training requirements would be reduced for an airplane pilot transitioning to glider but I dont know how it works going the other way.... Does anyone have info...

Adding ASW-24 Brake Fluid by [email protected]
I am trying to fill the brake fluid reservoir of my ASW-24, but with no luck. I am following the Schleicher Maintenance Manual procedure. It has you adding the fluid into the bleed valve of the caliper. First you have to attach a funnel to a 6 ft length of instrument tubing. The tubing is...

Adding Kevlar to cockpit floor or seatpan? by Stewart Kissel
After seeing first hand the eggshell strength properties of glass cockpits when they hit objects, I have been thinking about how much protection I don't have between my spine and terra-firma. I have the astronaut foam, and otherwise it is just the seatpan and glass. I was chatting with my...

Adding on airplane by Helen
Nice piece on WBAL: http://www.wbaltv.com/video/14641367/index.html Adding on sport airplane privileges is a snap for rated glider pilots. No formal FAA written or FAA checkride required.

Adding vents to Smiley bags by JS
Wondering if there's a recommended vendor to add vents to non-vented Smiley bags (AS-W27). I can't get all the air out of these bags with the usual foot pump. The factory bags were vented and held more water but look fragile and already leak. Alternatively, parts and procedures for...

addition to keywords by rollno
Accoona's AI-enabled search can understand the meaning and context behind the user's search query. So advertisers can broaden their campaigns to target concepts in addition to keywords. That's what accoona.com says. Is it really true?

addition to preflight checklist by shkdriver
I have a vivid memory of my instructor making a statement "Don't kill us today" He made this statement as I was finishing my verbally announced prelaunch checklist. At the time It did not seem to be a statement of my lack of skill, but rather a directive for my mental attitude. I think the...
