Pawnee Fuel Tank Question by Larry Ruggiero
Hello folks, did a little searching on past posts related to Pawnee tanks and came up empty handed, so here goes: ours is a C model with the bladder/liner equipped fiberglass fuselage tank. It's developed a leak at the bottom that I'm digging into. Discovered a poorly done previous repair that...

Again! by [email protected]
The FAA has just informed us that northern NJ will once again be blessed with the weekend golfing presence of President Trump. Lucky us. This means that for the last eight weekends, we have had ONE weekend when we were allowed to fly. Last year Trump's favored golf club in Florida opened for the...

SSA "Where to Fly" Map by Giaco
Is the SSA's "Where to fly" map updated regularly? There seem to be a number of clubs that are shown on the site with old and bad links and no recent history on google, at least in the last few years.... Specifically, i was trying to figure out if Iroquois soaring Association or Saratoga Soaring...

Cobra Trailer Part Needed by [email protected][_2_]
I am in the middle of converting my Cobra trailer tongue from the round tube (broken) to the newer square tube type and find I am missing a part. There is a rubber/plastic plug that goes in the rear end of the square tube to keep debris and small critters from getting inside the trailer box. W&W...

Discus 2 Winglets by Ross[_3_]
I am on the hunt for a set of winglets that look like this: http://www.rcawsey.co.uk/n114tw.jpg I know Heinz made them, and I know there aren’t many about so if anyone would part with them I would be really happy I would also consider paying to have them scanned to make a mold Cheers

Silent Skies by [email protected]
I live in Great Meadows, NJ, about 4 miles northwest of Hackettstown Airport. This is a nice clear Saturday morning, and usually I would hear the occasional airplane engine as some SEL passes nearby, even once in a while the distinctive sound of a radial. But not today. And why? Because...

What magic do the JS3 and Ventus 3 have that the ASG-29 Does not? by Bojack J4
After the definitive spanking these two new models gave to the previously dominant ASG-29, there has to be a superiority. So, what is it? (And yes, the pilot matters...but look at the results in 18m Worlds competition)

Flying with Parachutes by John Huthmaker
I'm just starting out with soaring. Simple question for you guys. How many of you fly with an emergency parachute? It looks like they cost around $2000 online. Pretty steep price; although the cost is insignificant if it saves your life. Is this something I should be looking to purchase?

Looking for a Schweizer ballast box by [email protected]
Our club bought a 1-26 and it came without the ballast arrangement for lightweight pilots. So we are looking for such, at least the box that holds the ballast (we have the "brick" itself available in our 2-33, presumably the same). Anybody got that part sitting around from a wrecked 1-26 or 2-33?

Cobra trailer brake heating up by Eric Greenwell[_4_]
I adjusted the brakes on my Cobra trailer according to the directions from Cobra. On the first test drive, the right brake drum got very hot in a few miles (about 240 deg F); the left brake drum got up to about 125 deg F. Neither drum seems to be dragging when I jack up the wheel and spin it. I...
