taildragger to trike by anon
A couple of folks have built their Himaxes and Minimaxes as trikes. On the surface, it doesn't seem like an overwhelmingly difficult engineering problem to overcome. How deluded might I be?

taildragger toe-in vs toe-out AGAIN by Joa
OK, I've researched this a fair bit and am still hearing two definite different views. One one hand you have those that swear you need toe-out and then on the other you have (among others- these are the few I'm certain about) Cessna 100 series, Huskies, and Pitt's that all are set with slight...

Taildragger vs. rolling 18 wheeler - movie links by Montblack
Saw parts of this movie late Saturday night on the Sci-Fi channel (while flipping back and forth from the USC-Fresno State game). http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0299988/ The Hitcher II: I've Been Waiting (2003) There's a scene where the pilot-wife (steals) a dirty old, polished aluminum(?), Cessna...

Tailplane question by Lou Parker
I'm building the tail-plane of my wooden aircraft and the plans have specific measurements of the ribs every couple of inches to get the shape from leading edge back. Unfortunately when I built the ribs it came out looking as if it would create a whole lot of drag. In fact when I follow the...

tailwheel steering by Marvin Barnard
I have trouble steering my homebuilt, which is simular of PA-20 and suspect the steering springs are weak. Of coarse excessive tension would be too much stress on the rudder steering yoke. Does anyone know the correct spring rate for the steering springs on a PA-20?

Tailwheels on ebay by Victor Bravo
My four tailwheel unit auctions on ebay have not even reached half of the new prices of tailwheels. It seems that you can get a great deal and save hundreds off the new replacement cost. If you can machine the bronze oilite bushings on a home lathe, you can restore three Maule tailwheels, sell two,...

Tank pressure for Speedaire compressor? by Michael Horowitz
Someone gave me a Speedaire Model 3Z394 airtank. I know nothing about its integrity or working pressure. 1. If you own such a model, could you tell me the max safe tank pressure? 2. How can I determine if the tank (which as some rust on the outside) still has its integrity? - Mike

Tanks for nothing (repost from Bearhawk list) by Del Rawlins
Well, not quite. Total investment excluding labor is about $80 of aluminum (some of that went towards the main tanks, which I have yet to assemble), rivets, a couple bucks worth of tubing, some 4043 filler rod, and probably most of my argon tank by the time both auxiliary tanks are completed. ...

taper pins by Ernest Christley
What has happened to taper pins? I need two AN386-3-9A pins to tie a universal joint to a one inch torque tube. AS&S says that I've got to buy 5 at 17.50(USD) each. Can anyone recommend a source that actually wants to sell them at a reasonable price? -- ----Because I...

Tapered Wings and North-Paw Saws by [email protected]
Cutting a long taper in aluminum bar or angle stock is always something of a chore. Not because it's a chore-type chore - - the work goes quickly enough - - but because we don't do it very often and have to get things set up for the job. After sawing the taper you sand away the saw marks then...

Tax consequences of selling a homebuilt. by [email protected]
A question came up over pizza the other night. What are the tax consequenes of selling a homebuilt? Assume we know how much the raw materials cost. Assume we know approx how many hours of labor went into it. Assume the homebuilt is worth $200K If it is sold what are the tax implications?

Is there such a calculation/formula? How can you tell what propeller to use, how fast it should rotate, and how much weight it can push along the ground? Specifically... I would like to tell what sort and size of propeller rotating at what speed, in calm air to push 100 or 200 pounds on smooth...
