Joint Strike fighter almost cancelled by McCain. The vote was a draw! by
Eunometic
The U.S. Senate Armed Services Committee (SASC) nearly endorsed a
move that could end Lockheed Martin’s F-35 Joint Strike Fighter — and
the effort may continue.
The committee’s top Republican, John McCain (Ariz.), sponsored the
language, offered during the panel’s markup of its...

Joke by
Phil Rhodes
A fellow walked into a pet store and was looking at the animals on
display.
While he was there, a Master Chief Petty Officer from the local
Naval Air Station walked in and said to the shopkeeper, "I'd like a
line service monkey, please."
The clerk nodded, went to a cage at the side of the store...

JSF Tanker? by
Henry J. Cobb
Can the Navy version of the JSF be configured as a tanker?
Say replace the gun pod with a drogue pod and then load up either the
bomb bay or the wing hardpoints with fuel tanks until you hit 50,000
pounds.
Is this being considered?
How much fuel would this provide?

a glide weapon, so it wouldn't have as much range as the Harpoon
when launched at low altitude.
I imagine it might have value in picking off naval targets...
