ILS approach Greenville MS - Video by
[email protected]
My flight to Greenville MS yesterday. ILS approach 18 left with 2100
foot ceilings and a visual back to Madison..
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=45Hdcs669Dg
Interesting approach to say the least. Note the ground speed on
final. 200 feet AGL winds were right off the nose at 35 knots which
makes...

Air sickness by
Amine
Does motion sickness fade away with experience? How many of you
seasoned pilots had/still have serious issues with recurrent nausea?
(Assuming of course an otherwise good health.)

negative dihedral by
Tina
I understand how positive dihedral helps dynamic stability in
airplanes, but some big ones, like the Russian An 124 Condor, has a
pronounced negative dihedral -- the wings have a noticeable downward
slope.
Q1: Do those airplanes need active fly by wire controls to maintain
stability, or is...

CFI oral intel by
gatt[_4_]
One of the folks around the hangar took his CFI practical last week. He
had his AGI so they threw out all of the Fundamentals of Instruction
stuff entirely during the oral.
A question the examiner asked him: "You're flying cross-country and
trimmed at 110 knots. You die, and the engine quits....

Perfect loop by
More_Flaps
My aerobatic traing is going very well, I'm having all the fun I
thought it should provide. So far I haven't messed up a manouver but
I'm nagged by the thought: How can I tell if my loops are perfect
circles? At present I go to full power at the vertical phase and over
the top but then throttle...

GIVE THANKS TO BERTIE THE BUTTLIPP by
Maxwell[_2_]
Once again we should all give thanks to the Buttlipp for bringing such
productive threads and posters to our group.
Consider this the next time YOU attempt to post a straight answer to one of
his messages. It makes you part of the problem as well.

What a circle jerk!!! by
Maxwell[_2_]
Check out the next thread guys. Ten posts in a hour. Clearly a pre-planned
circle jerk between Dudley, More_Flaps and the Butlipps.
Kind of hard to believe all three are not one-in-the same, but could be
counterfeit. God knows we have seen enough forgeries lately.
Just goes to show you how...

An accident with a surprisingly "good" outcome by
Kirk
The accident in Iowa, of which Jay posted, is a sad, terrible tragedy.
However, every so often there is good news like this report concerning
an accident here in North Florida yesterday where all that was
destroyed was some metal and plastic... instead of lives....
