Our club is looking for a tow hook for 182, in particular Schweizer (partnumber 0500228-2) which is the STC'd approved hook for the Cessna 182. Any pointers are welcome. Thanks Ramy

The inadvisability of charging LiFePO4 batteries below 32F/0C (akabelow freezing) by son_of_flubber
When researching a step up to LiFePO4, I stumbled across this tidbit at http://batteryuniversity.com/learn/article/charging_at_high_and_low_temperatures "Many battery users are unaware that consumer-grade lithium-ion batteries cannot be charged below 0°C (32°F). Although the pack appears to be...

(US) Spring Airspace and Airport Data Update by 2KA
It is Spring again, and if you haven't done so in awhile it would be a great time to update the airspace and airport databases in your glide computer, PNA, handheld GPS, or desktop planning software in preparation for the upcoming US season. The FAA data for the charting cycle effective March 1,...

Condor - SGS 1-26 by [email protected]
I received a request today from someone working to get an SGS 1-26 as an available glider in Condor. He wrote: === I have been doing the modelling of a 1-26 on behalf of someone that wants to see this glider being offered as a plane pack from Condor. I have submitted the model to Chris...

Flarm collision alert from Tow Plane ADS-B by [email protected]
Now that our club tow plane has installed ADS-B out, I’m getting a constant collision alert on my S80, Flarm butterfly and Qudie while on tow. Is there any way to silence the collision alarm while on tow without turning off ADS-B targets on Flarm all together. I like seeing ADS-B targets while...

Mechanical vario stuck on 5 kts up by Movses Babayan
Mech vario (PZL, I believe) got stuck on 5kts up. When lift exceeds that (e.g. on tow), needle moves up and then back down to 5. Never goes below 5. Electric vario that is, to my best knowledge, connected to the same TE source behaves normally. Questions: - Can something like this be caused by...

Anyone have Nano 4 flight experience? Wondering about it's FLARM presentation; does it equal or better a LX Flarmview? Thanks.

Wanted: Mechanical Vario by Phil Chidekel
Hey all, I’m looking to buy a mechanical vario—does anyone have a used instrument that could live in an ASW 15? 57mm is prefferred, but not required. The winter vario in the cockpit suffered a catastrophic crunch while I was getting out of the glider yesterday. Spring is here!

Looking for a source for this rear view mirror by Gianni Isotope

LS3a Water Bags by [email protected]
I have a very small leak at three places on the wing water bag. I have removed the bag from the wing. It appears to be in good condition except that water is weeping from three places near the wing root end. The stitching is in good shape, and I think that it's a weld failure. Does anyone know...

Pawnee with Tost internal tow rope system by kirk.stant
Our club (in the US) is looking at a Pawnee that has the Tost cable retractor winch system and we are curious about it's operation. For example, it appears that the rope requires a Tost weak link assembly at the glider end, but none at the towplane end. How are US operators setting it up? Tost...
