Newbie on X-plane, how to get info ? by Roger Messer
I've just got X-plane, and am wondering what would be the best way to learn how to use the thing. I need answers to questions such as: What are the various instruments on the control panels. Is there a 'hint' mode, where floating the mouse above an instrument can reveal its name and purpose? I...

Lock On v1.12a patch installation problem by Anthony
Hi, Has anyone experienced problems running patch 1.12a over FC1.1? When attempting to launch Lock On WindowsXP crashes, causing the pc to auto-reboot. Rolling-back to v1.1 works o.k. again. Cheers.

Autopilot and ILS crashes 747 by Sammy Yousef
Hi, I'm relatively new to FS2004, and I'm just trying to learn to land the 747 using ILS and autopilot. I've set up a flight where I'm just about to capture the glide path at 2000ft at Sydney airport. I have no problem capturing the glide path. Alt switches off on the autopilot when I intercept....

Saitek stick/throttle....rudder issue by Wayne
Hey, This is a pretty good stick/throttle combination, but it causes a quirky behavior in that the aircraft rudder becomes very unstable on takeoff roll. It slips from side to side, making takeoff a real challange. I'm pretty new with this stick and would appreciate if anyone else having this...

Flight Simulator 2004: Setting the radios, OBSs, & bugs. by [email protected]
Flight Simulator 2004 Setting the radios, OBSs, & bugs. Is there a magic box I can pop-up so I can just enter a value? A USB hardware device perhaps? Numeric keypad shortcuts? Anything (short of a $2000 radio stack simulator)? Sorry if this is common knowledge, I have not found it. TIA,

Hi, Can someone tell me if there is a professional edition of FS 2004? I couldn't even find it on Microsoft's web site but I find it for sale at buycheapsoftware.com. The version they are selling has a different part number than the one I see at CompUSA, which is not a professional edition. If...
