Last Operational P-51 by Joe Landeros
I was stationed at Edwards AFB with the Army from 1976 till 1983 when the last operational P-51 was still flying there. I might have been the last "regular" G.I. to have worked on 990. Before Col. Boyle took off with it, I applied a commemorative plaque on one of the main landing gear struts. ...

AF Academy finished by Joey Bishop
"Seven 20- and 21-year-old cadets were ticketed by police for drinking alcohol in an off-campus hotel room early Saturday with two young women, aged 16 and 18. " As far as I'm concerned, the AF Academy has failed it's mission, and the tax dollars should be shifted to the Army and Naval Academies. ...

Anyone Know Where The C-74 Is Located? by John A. Weeks III
I am doing some research on the C-74 and C-124 Globemasters. The information that I have found so far indicates that C-74 s/n 42-65406 survived scrapping and was displayed at Kelly AFB at one time. Now that Kelly is closed, I understand that many of the display aircraft were moved. In speaking...

In driving past the Minneapolis/St. Paul airport on Saturday, I spotted an unusual aircraft in an unusual location. A large 4 engine high-wing cargo plane was parked at the Humphrey passenger terminal. Since the plane had winglets, it was a C-17. The unusual thing was the markings. A large blue...
