'Pastor' Dave's Latest Occasionally Semi-Annual Christmas Poem Dedicated to "He Who Would (Abysmally) Try to Write Poetry about Moi" Shankland is a bit of a bum, After retirement that's what he's become, He used to fight fires, but now he's a liar, just like all the rest of the RAH Scum!

Vans RV-6a diesel? by Luke Scharf
All of this diesel engine talk has me wondering -- has anyone built an RV-6A with a Thielert engine or something similar? Would the RV-6A be underpowered with the 120hp Centurion 1.7? Thanks, -Luke

I live in Tallahassee, Florida. I'm trying to find 6061-T6 in various forms, Sadly, the closest supplier I've found so far for what I need is AS&S just south of Atlanta. None of the local shops carry anything but 6063 which is more "bendable." :) I'm considering a commute up to AS&S this weekend to...

So I will start work on my PPL (or SPL, still trying to decide) late this summer and I've been thinking building my own plane (kit or plan, still trying to decide :). San Diego fire by [email protected]
Yes, we're still here. We are packed and ready to evacuate but the number of safe havens is shrinking as the size of the fires continues to grow. Rather than address a host of questions individually I'll try to give you a snapshot of the Big Picture. The key is the wind velocity. Measured at...

Certificate terminated, rebuildable? by Ramset
I may purchase a Valentin Taifun motorglider that landed in the trees. The insurance company sold it as salvage. I looked up N13BH on the FAA site and found this. Certificate Issue Date: None Status: Cert Terminated (I'd assume the salvage dealer requested this because of the...
