Black Magic? by

https://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2021/06/the_dangers_of_digital_doggy_doors.html
The link touches upon an aspect of "digital code complexity" you-n-I
have ruefully chuckled about "for a long time now" - specifically, "How
can Joe Sixpack-User actually KNOW (what's really going on 'down in...

Great Straight Out Flights From Ohio to New Jersey Yesterday by
Papa3[_2_]
Dan Reagan and John Lubon covered about 800KM straight out on thermals from Caesar Creek, Ohio to Blairstown, New Jersey yesterday. I have to believe these are the longest straight out thermal flights ever made east of the Mississippi. Anyone know differently?...

Soartech
I am looking at the files available for download on soaringweb.org. Specifically these for central Florida: http://soaringweb.org/TP/Seminole
I use XCsoar/Top Hat and I want to download the file that will show me an airport's radio frequency when I touch the airport symbol on the map. In the past...

Looking for 1-26E with trailer and some thoughts by
ken smith
Hi,
I am currently looking for a ready to fly 1-26E in nice condition
with trailer. It looks like there is nothing really out there that
doesn't need a new paint job and perhaps some restoration.
Can anyone suggest someone who does reasonable paint and
restoration work? I am located in the...

Need Schroth seat belt clip by
bdbng
I purchased a new set of Schroth belts last season and now I want to
add a 5th strap to hold the release down at my waist. I called the
distributor and was informed that Schroth hardware is no longer
available. So much for buying premium equipment. Does anyone out there
have a clip that I can have...

Warning Online Contest Registration by
Snead1
I just finished registering for three contests online through the SAA site.
While still on line I received an e-mail titled "On Line Registration". When
I opened the e-mail it had nothing to do the soaring contests. Hope I did not
pick up a virus!

downloading a gps20 without a serial port by
Ted
I recently lost my laptop and the replacement has no serial port. I
purchased a USB - serial converter cable but Cambridge Aero Explorer
can't seem to connect to the GPS 20. Anybody have a work around for
this problem? Just want to download waypoints and upload flights.

New Castle Region 4S Practice day #711 reporting. by
[email protected]
The cannon was fired, at 10 am and the pilots meeting was
called to order. Patty Smith, the contest manager said a brief "HI" and
then introducted the CD Dick Butler. Dick explained it was important to
be nice to the CD, as he has always been, as someday you may be the CD.
Cough, heazeeeeeeeeeeeee....

L33 vs Pilatus by
gfoster07k
I know this is a little bit out in left field but I'd be interested to
know if anyone has experience or information that indicates which of
these two all metal gliders has the better polar. I doubt that
published L/D has much validity. I've seen Dick Johnson's test report
on the L33 but have not...

Free RICO Variometer by
John Murphy
I replaced the RICO variometer that came with the G102 I bought a few
years ago. I believe it still works, and I have a manual. I don't
have the tubes and assorted flasks that came with it. If anyone wants
it, it is free to a good home. All you need to do is pay shipping,
which will probably be...

I'm posting this report in the mid afternoon from the cool,
airconditioned motel room in Cordele because no task was called due to
the weather forecast. According to our forecaster, and also from
numerous forecasts from around the area, we should probably be seeing
thundershowers all around. Let...

WAX ? by
JJ Sinclair
I'm new to this sport and have a few questions about waxing my ship. Some say
NEVER wax because if you ever get wet, you will come down like a STONE. Others
say you MUST wax to ward off the TERRIBLE affects of moisture and UV. I'm
confused, can anyone help?
One more thing, what kind of wax is BEST...
