Navigation issue by Orin
Hi, I'm currently flying a long haul from LDZA (Zagreb) to CYYC (Calgary) with a stopover at BIKF (Keflavik). Somewhere over Germany I decided I'd try fiddling with the new GPS. I created the approach for BIKF RWY 29 via KEILA intersection, CI29 and FI29 intersections, and have put it on hold....

Anybody tried compiling or saving a GMAX source file after applying the fix? I didn't install it because I'm behind my servers. This is an exploiters dream come true. The Hotfix causes problems: http://www.discreet.com/products/gmax/gmax_alert.html Owain Robinson http://www.planesimulation.com/

Scenery question about photo type files by Owleyes
First - I apologise for this question as I am inexperienced in making scenery files for FS. I have seen scenery files (such as in Lago) in which the object is a flat (one demensional) photo of a person which can be placed anywhere. What kind of files are these and how does one go about making a...

Scenery problem by Owleyes
I recently installed Austrian airport scenery into my FS2004 (it had been in my FS2002 files, so I pointed the Addon scenery files to it). Most all of the files are displaying ok, with the eception of most of the 'tree' files. They are displaying as white boxes. I know there is supposed to be a...

Which joystick by Oysters8
I got FS 2004 and want to get a good joystick. I can't seem to find reviews. I've pretty much narrowed it down to the Logitech Freedom (wireless), Force 3D (feedback) or the MS Sidewinder Force Feedback Pro 2 (which Amazon says is discontinued -- curious why). Can folks shed a little light for me,...

X Plane Brakes by Pat Dotson
I have the latest version of X Plane. Why won't the brakes stop the plane? Flying the default Cessna, I can set down as slowly and early as possible and still roll right off the end of the runway. Tried both "regular strength" and "max strength" brake application.

Animation sequence of wig wags. by pat8037
Hi, I'm building some wig wags to add into an airport. At the moment, I know they are two amber lights which alternate at about 30-60 cyles per minute. My question is, when they are on both sides of the stop bar, do they animate in a particular way. For example, as a rough drawing ( zero = off,...
