Hey, Sydney! by
Dan Luke
How was your trip home from Pinckneyville? It looked like the weather
got pretty grumpy around there just after I left.

VOR name in bold and underlined? by
Mark
I have a question that has been buggin' me for a while.
Why are some VOR names in bold and underlined? For instance, the NABB
vor (north of Louisville KY) and the Dayton vor are in bold and the
name is underlined where as others are not.
I've checked the NOAA Aeronautical chart users guide and...

Ft Lauderdale Crash by
SelwayKid
Funny no mention of the crash last saturday during an airshow
practice. TV coverage showed the low wing in an apparent spin right
into the water. Pilot was killed and no further details from the
program after that.
Anyone else know of it?

Marv Golden ANR? by
Sam Bradshaw
Hi all,
I just recently got my Instrument rating (still waiting for
that shiny new plastic ID :)), and was thinking about purchasing a
low-end ANR headset(sub-$300). I was thinking about either the Marv
Golden MG-ANR's or the DRE-6000's. I was looking through the
newsgroups, and couldn't really...

Getting a Flight Physical Waiver by
KIR
I'm interested in flying again after 30 years on the deck. I haven't taken
the Cat III physical as I know I'll need a waiver from the FAA because I
have a pacemaker implant. I know waivers are possible and I know what the
waiver protocol entails. It's very involved and costly. I'm willing to...

Glass cockpits & Turn Coordinators by
Jeremy Lew
The most recent issue of AOPA Pilot has G1000 and other glass cockpits in
several ads and articles. They all seem to have a backup AI, but no turn
coordinator or ball. How do you make a standard rate turn? How do you know
if you're coordinated? Is there some display in the EFIS which makes...
