A 707/720 question by
DeltaDeltaDelta
It's a little off topic, but I have a question for any 707/720 pilots. I'm
doing a short seminar work on radio antennas on aircraft for my university
and I have been doing some research on the side to see what form and
position antennas take on different aircraft. I read somewhere that that
pointy...

Paul Harvey Commentary today by
Rosspilot
I caught the last 10 minutes of Paul Harvey today . . . he was talking about
Meigs Field. Harvey is a pilot and is a Chicagoan (I think).
After spending the entire time decrying the awful thing that Daley did,
describing how the Mayor had coveted the lakefront property for years, etc,
etc, he...

Tuskegee Airmen on History Channel by
Ted Huffmire
Is one of my favorite movies, up there with
Memphis Belle. They had an interview with two
of the Tuskegee Airmen who answered questions
about how realistic the movie was. One of them
shot down a Nazi jet fighter. Even though they
won many medals, the two veterans said that
they experienced terrible...

Odd sight at JFK near A and J taxiways by
Teacherjh
About a month ago I flew out of JFK and saw an ElAl aircraft parked near the
intersection of Alpha and Juliet (and Bravo and Kilo) taxiways, near he
intersection of runway 4L/22R and 31L/13R. It was surrounded by a structure of
gantries and wires that surrounded the aircraft.
Anybody have any...

New Co-Op Airline Offers Cheaper Fares if . . . by
Jim Fisher
From a very respectable internet news place:
"New Co-Op Airline Offers Cheaper Fares If You Help Fly The Plane
SAN FRANCISCO-GreenWay Airlines, a new low-cost, cooperative airline, offers
inexpensive fares to passengers who assist with the flight, an airline
spokesman said Monday. "Unlike pricey...

Our experience at Sky Bryce ski resort (video) by

As there has been discussion regarding fly-in ski resorts here lately, I
thought I'd share our experience with Bryce resort

The weather in Virginia today was incredible, so Suzanne and I decided to

ANYONE who was at Kitty Hawk on Dec. 17th, 2003 by
DBridwell
Greetings,
If you were at the Centennial of Flight Celebration at Kitty Hawk on
Dec. 17th, 2003, then you might have seen the little pedaled Wright
Flyers that they had the kids playing in that was in the main tent that
housed the Wright Flyer replica. I was wondering if anyone knows where
I can...

Nice Song on NPR by
G.R. Patterson III
Heard the tail end of a nice number on "All Things Considered" today. The title
was reported as "Sunken Walls", and the theme seemed to be the freedom introduced
by the Wright Bros. first flight. Didn't catch the name of the band, but it hails
from Arizona, if I heard correctly. Might be worth...

I had MSNBC on in the background this afternoon. The reporter suddenly says

VFR Maps by
Paul
A couple of months ago, I saw a posting concerning a guy who made an
"online" mapping of VFR maps all over America.
On the web site, you have to give the coordinate of "quadrant" and all the
maps appears... This is what I remember...
If you're the guy, can you give me details ?
