Kyle
This is not a commercial post. I am just a amateur programmer who happens to
be in the navy. I created a script to arrange navy medals in the correct
order and display them graphically. If anyone is interested, please check
it out at http://medalsonline.com. Feedback would be appreciated. ...

Seen at NAS Atlanta by
Bill Kambic
On the VAW-77 ramp, a VERY nicely restored T-28B in gray (not Training
Command livery). Could not get close enough for a detailed look. My
eyes are not that good anymore and I was driving. :-)
Didn't have a camera or I'd have gotten a shot or two. VEYR NICE,

Revisiting the Super Hornet's canted pilons issue by
José Herculano
Boeing is in no visible hurry to develop a more elegant solution to the
weapons separation issues that lead to the 4º cant / toe-out of the Super
Hornet's wing pilons. I'm not hearing too much complain from the Navy
either. The reasons that have me worried about this current solution a

BRAC by
Jim
Attended a nice airshow at the Barnes ANGB, Westfield Mass yesterday.
Had the chance to speak with a Lt Col alongside his Otis based F-15A.
I was aware BRAC voted to close the Otis ANGB but hadn't spotted a thing
about who would be picking up that tasking. To my surprise he replied
they were...

Good Sense! by
Yofuri
Obviously a Naval Aviator!

He had the good sense not to aim a plane with a suspected bomb on board at
the biggest metropolitan area in that corner of the country.
Now, TSA, on the other hand..,.

Oilspill on aircraftcarriers by
Max Richter
The Navy used to have plenty of radial-pistonengined aircraft on
carriers.
Now my question: in radial-engines oil is collecting in the lower
cylinders when its stopped. Thats is one reason to handturn the engine
before it is started. Then the oil is queezed out in the exhaustsystem
and eventually on...
